— Figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Meta Knight Sword is an Evolved Copy Ability based on Sword that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. With this ability, Kirby wields a replica of Galaxia, wears a mask, and has tiny bat wings, all almost identical to that of Meta Knight's aside from the wings, as the ability is based off him. If Kirby jumps and attacks after using his slide attack, he'll perform a shorter version of Upper Calibur. Kirby can obtain this ability by touching Meta Knight's or Phantom Meta Knight's Galaxia when he drops it after beating him in his clash attack in the Colosseum (even if Kirby has not unlocked it at Waddle Dee's Weapons Shop yet).

The blueprint for Meta Knight Sword is rewarded to Kirby upon clearing the Meta Knight Cup in the Colosseum. Meta Knight Sword is required to play the Treasure Road stage Slash! Meta Knight Sword Trial.

Meta Knight Sword moveset
Move Button execution Description
Slash B Kirby slashes in front of him. This will send a Crescent Beam if Kirby is at full health, or has a second health bar.
Multislash B + B after Slash Kirby slashes two more times. The finishing slash is a spin slash, and both slashes will send a Crescent Beam if Kirby is at full health, or has a second health bar.
Sword Spin B in midair Kirby spins in a circle with the sword. This will send a Crescent Beam if Kirby is at full health, or has a second health bar.
Spin Slash Hold B a short time and release Kirby spins around with the sword. Kirby can move slowly while charging. During (Super) Spin Slash, Kirby can move much faster than the standard variant of Sword.
Super Spin Slash Hold B a longer time and release Kirby spins around with the sword for longer. Kirby can jump during this attack, similar to the Twister Slash in previous titles. It will leave a shockwave of purple fire and some bat effects.
Sword Slide Slide (Guard + A) Kirby slides forwards with his sword outstretched.
Upward Slash A while sliding Kirby rises into the air while slashing.
Upper Calibur B + B + B + B during Upward Slash Kirby slashes the enemy at lightning speed in the air. This attack is a shorter version of the one Meta Knight uses.
Sword Dive B after Upper Calibur Kirby dives flips and dives down to the ground, producing a shockwave upon landing.
Counter Slash B after dodging an attack Kirby does the finishing slash of Multislash instantly.

Weapons-Shop Waddle Dee:
If you swing the Meta Knight Sword with full health, you'll attack with a Crescent Shot wave. If you have two health bars, you can keep slinging Crescent Shots until the first bar is depleted! Press L/R + A to Sword Slide. Follow with A, then rapidly press B to do an Upper Calibur attack!

Trivia

  • The yellow eyes on the mask won't blink and are just decorations. This is apparent when Kirby is using Mouthful Mode.
