Merry Magoland is a Magolor-themed amusement park which serves as the main area where Sub-Games and other extra content can be accessed in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, and one of the main additions to the remake which was not present in the original Kirby's Return to Dream Land. This area is said to be situated in another world and time period separate from the Story Mode, though despite this, it can be clearly seen in the background in certain places on Popstar, such as in Nutty Noon - Stage 1.
The park is defined by a giant lavishly-decorated castle-like structure made to resemble Magolor, which houses the doors to the various Sub-Games, though there is also a large court area in front of the castle. Merry Magoland becomes available to visit after clearing the first two stages in Cookie Country (in the demo, Merry Magoland opens after clearing just the first stage). After that point, Kirby and up to three friends are free to visit the park from the World Map at any time via the Warp Star, and travel around the park using it.
Merry Magoland is run by Magolor in a top hat and wearing a large bowtie (referred to officially as "Manager Magolor"). The park is filled with various visitors, mainly Waddle Dees. There is also a permanent Waddle Dee employee named Souvenir Shop Waddle Dee who allows Kirby and friends to set special souvenir items to the stock item slot and put on Dress-Up Masks they have obtained from earning stamps in the Stamp Rally. Additionally, Bosses from Story Mode (barring Grand Doomer) and statues of the Dream Friends from Kirby Star Allies as well as a statue of Elfilin appear in the plaza as the player progresses through Story Mode and completes missions.
Sub-GamesEdit
The main attraction of Merry Magoland are the Sub-Games on offer. Unlike in the Lor Starcutter, there are no unlock requirements to play them in Merry Magoland. They can be played individually by accessing the doors on the main castle structure, or they can be played in a sequence of four by playing the Magoland Tour, which is unlocked after playing three different sub-games for the first time. The Sub-Games are as follows, in alphabetical order:

StampsEdit
- Main article: Stamp Rally
By playing Sub-Games in Merry Magoland or by redeeming Stamp Tickets in the Main Mode, Kirby is awarded stamps which are added to his Stamp Rally card. Gaining a certain number of stamps unlocks rewards, which includes souvenir items and dress-up masks. Stamps are also awarded for finding "Hidden Magolor" stickers around the lobby in Merry Magoland, three of which which can be found in different locations each day.
Other featuresEdit
Other features in Merry Magoland include the following:
- When speaking to Manager Magolor, he will reveal information about game statistics around the world, similar to Wise Waddle Dee in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. These statistics include information about which Dress-Up Mask is most popular, what Sub-Game is being played the most, and how many Pop Flowers were opened in the Main Mode, along with other things.
- There is a Missions menu which can be accessed from this area. Each Sub-Game has a set of missions, and there are 100 objectives to meet initially. Missions do not award prizes individually, though reaching certain numbers of missions complete gives out other rewards.
- When all of the Missions for a particular Sub-Game are complete, the option to use alternate music is unlocked. For the returning Sub-Games, this is their original music, while the new Sub-Games have chiptune remixes.
- Once all of the main 100 missions are completed, 20 "True Extra Missions" are unlocked that are a lot more difficult. These missions do not need to be cleared to obtain 100% completion of Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, however completing them is required to unlock the music track "Deluxe Master!" (Track 199) in the Jukebox.
- The various Waddle Dee visitors to the park cannot be spoken to, but if Kirby and friends pose near them, the Waddle Dees will wave back. These Waddle Dees can also occasionally be seen wearing Dress-Up Masks.
TriviaEdit
- The "Hidden Magolors" are likely a parody of Hidden Mickeys from the Disney Parks, which are symbols of Mickey Mouse hidden in the architecture or landscaping.
- Magolor's description of Merry Magoland as "the funnest place in the whole universe" is also a possible reference to the slogan of Disneyland, "the happiest place on earth".
