He is an upgraded version of Mecha Knight, which means to say that he is still Meta Knight under the thrall of the Haltmann Works Company. He now sports a red paint job, and fights in a very different manner to his original version.

Music
- Main article: Vs. Meta Knight (theme from Kirby Super Star)
Mecha Knight+'s Theme, titled 己が精神との闘い (Battle with the Spirit of Self) in the Japanese soundtrack and titled Inner Struggle in English, is a remix of Meta Knight's Boss Battle Theme from Kirby Super Star. It is reused in Kirby Star Allies when Meta Knight is fought in Soul Melter.
