Background

The Dedede Directory, (referred to in full as "King Dedede's Wisdom! Dededen Great Directory", translated from Japanese 「デデデ大王のひらけ！デデデン大名鑑」) is a running series of posts on the Kirby JP Twitter where King Dedede describes various characters from the Kirby series in his own words. These descriptions are formatted with an image portraying King Dedede with various expressions standing next to a collage of artwork of the character he is describing. The first post in the series was made on July 3rd, 2019, and at the beginning, the series was usually updated in weekly intervals. However, in late 2020, Dedede Directory became monthly, with posts being during the second or third week of the month. Each post is generally made on Wednesday at around 12:00 p.m. Japan Standard Time, though the time and date varies, particularly if a special event is being commemorated.

She once utterly destroyed the crops in Dream Land, but it turns out she did it to take care of her chicks. Hm, she's a pretty devoted parent, huh? One time she was also hostile towards Kirby, but then she threw herself into danger to get him up to the Battleship Halberd in "Revenge of Meta Knight". She's got a strong sense of duty there! His hard body is covered in sharp spikes. He can't really be inhaled or beaten... So basically, he's almost invincible! In Super Kirby Clash, Whispy Woods apparently drops some big Gordos. One first glance he seems like a fine young man, but if Kirby approaches him, he'll suddenly start punching and kicking, that naughty rascal! In Kirby's Star Stacker, he wanted to use a "star piece" for his training. I'd love to know what kinda training THAT would've been! He's one of the few characters who yield the rare "Cook" ability! When he's a Friend in Star Allies, he'll only focus on cooking dishes, too. In other words... if all 3 friends are this guy, it's basically an all-you-can-eat buffet?! Grrr... that dang Kirby is so lucky! He'll come at you swinging his giant arms, or shoot missiles and lasers. And he can transform too, so even if you beat him, he'll just become "HR-E" and attack again. It's nice that the robots in this series who look like me also got that neat transformation feature! In Air Ride, they usually act in groups, and if you get close, their sharp spines come out. And obviously, you get the "Needle" Copy Ability from them! But still... As you can guess by his shadowy look, this guy's a being who was copied from the darkness in Meta Knight's heart, who's important to the events in Amazing Mirror. It's unclear what he was after, but he divided Kirby into 4 people with one strike, and defeated Meta Knight in a one-on-one fight! I'd really better not underestimate this guy...! By combining left and right, these annoying fellas keep on attacking one after the other. Apparently you can get the prized "Smash" ability from Master Hand when you face him in a mid-boss battle. This one floats around like a balloon, and you can get the "Balloon" ability from it! Mar 24, 2021	Drawcia Sorceress and Drawcia Soul		The images contains artwork in her Sorceress (middle) and Soul (right) form, both from [[Kirby: Canvas Curse|Template:KCC KPP]]. 'Course he's cool and all, but he's actually got a more delicate side too - like, he can't handle tomatoes, and he's got dry skin. You can get the "Animal ability" from these guys! Gao Gao is a mid-boss and will attack with sharp claws while spinning, but also gets dizzy from that, so it's a bit clumsy, too.
