Light 'Em Up! Lantern Switches (Volcano Fire Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Everbay Coast. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Volcano Fire, making use of its ability to light Lantern Switches. The stage is unlocked after completing Fast-Flowing Waterworks. Since it makes use of Volcano Fire, Kirby cannot play this stage unless he has that ability unlocked. The stage is marked by two stars of difficulty and has a stage time of two and a half minutes (two minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute.

Stage details

This stage can be broken down into five distinct challenges before reaching the Rare Stone at the end. For the first, Kirby needs to merely light a Lantern Switch. For the second, Kirby needs to light two with a Hot Head in-between them. For the third, Kirby needs to light three with a Hot Head out in front and a Gordo Bar moving back and forth in front of the lanterns. For the fourth. Kirby needs to light four lanterns while dodging Shotzo fire. For the last, Kirby needs to light eight while avoiding a spinning Gordo Bar in the middle of the platform. From there, two Hot Heads guard the Rare Stone.

Tips

The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:

  • Most of the Hot Heads can be ignored if Kirby is moving quick enough, but the one on the third platform should probably be dealt with.
  • In the last lantern-lighting area, Kirby should try to find an optimal path to light each lantern as quickly as possible. Ping-ponging back and forth between each one is probably not the best strategy.
