Level 5 Map Select[Japanese title][1] is a theme that plays in Yogurt Yard's hub world. The original version of this theme was composed by Hirokazu Ando, the lead composer of Kirby's Adventure.

Composition[edit]

Due to this theme playing in a hub world (a place where one wouldn't spend too much time in), this theme is rather short. The simple theme appears to be in a key in E-flat, and descends by 4 notes with rhythmic percussion playing in the background.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby's Adventure/Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land[edit]

As stated earlier, "Level 5 Map Select" plays in the hub world for Yogurt Yard, the fifth level of the game. It's listed as track 24 in the game's Sound Test.

A faithful remix of this theme was made for Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land with an updated sound font. It's listed as track 31 in the game's Sound Test.

Kirby's Avalanche[edit]

In Kirby's Avalanche, a remix of this theme plays in the first few cut-scenes. This remix has a bouncier feel to it, due to its sixteenth notes being in swing. This version of the song was arranged by Einosuke Nagao, and is track 02 in the game's Sound Test.
