A four-headed dragon that sleeps on Halcandra, Landia has been revered as a protector since ancient times…until now.
— VS Landia Special Page in Kirby's Return to Dream Land

Landia is a Boss that debuted in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, residing in Halcandra and serves as the boss of Dangerous Dinner. He appears as a four headed orange dragon, where the top head of the dragon carries the Master Crown, a legendary artifact of limitless power. However, this combined form appears to be an effect bestowed by the crown, as Landia normally appears as four separate much smaller dragons.

Landia has lived on Halcandra since ancient times, protecting the land and guarding the world’s most legendary items, but…
— VS Landia EX Special Page in Kirby's Return to Dream Land

In the story of Kirby's Return to Dream Land, Magolor commands Kirby to go and defeat Landia, as Landia attacked the Lor Starcutter, Magolor's ship, as Magolor arrived at Halcandra, along with Kirby. Upon Landia's defeat by Kirby, it is revealed that Magolor and Landia had a past conflict, which ended with Magolor fleeing to Planet Popstar, and only enlisted Kirby's help in repairing the Lor Starcutter to defeat Landia and help him obtain the Master Crown, which would give him the power to rule the universe. Landia, now consisting of four small dragons, then assists Kirby and accompanying friends, in chasing Magolor and the Lor Starcutter when Magolor enters Another Dimension to go and conquer Planet Popstar. Once Magolor and his mutation Magolor Soul are defeated, Landia, along with the now friendly Lor Starcutter, assists Kirby in returning to Dream Land.

As a Boss

File:Landia Split Up.jpg
In the second phase, Landia splits into four dragons. In this shot, it fires down on Kirby with all four at once.

Landia is faced as the boss of Dangerous Dinner. During the first phase of the fight, it fights as the whole dragon. During the second phase, it splits up and attacks as the four smaller dragons, and the dragon wearing the crown takes more damage than the other three.

The following lists all of Landia's attacks in the Main Mode of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Attacks in italics are used in the second phase of the fight only.
*Attack names are conjectural.

Attacks - Main Mode
Attack Description
Fire Shots Landia fires individual fire balls from his mouths that cannot be swallowed.
Triple Spin Strike Landia flies in close and performs three rapid spins, striking with his wings and his feet. The last strike leaves stars behind.
Dive Landia dives in a maneuver that cannot be ducked, leaving stars at the lowest point of the dive.
Fire Breath Landia breathes fire with two of his heads, covering much of the stage.
Gust Landia flaps his wings, creating a torrent of wind that pushes Kirby back, and also creates sharp gusts that can do damage and can't be swallowed.
Bomber Dragons Landia re-positions and fires downward repeatedly, covering a large area systematically. The first and last shots leave stars.
Volt Transfer Landia flies into a grid formation, and starts charging electricity between his bodies. He Will either re-position or move about in a counterclockwise manner.
Quad Dive Landia dives each of his bodies across the stage, two at a time.
Fireball Toss Landia forms a large fireball and tosses it around to his other parts. It then flies into the background, and crashes on the stage, leaving stars.

In Extra Mode, Landia EX's color is changed into purple, and his attacks are generally faster and cover more ground:

Kirby: Planet Robobot

Landia appears as the penultimate and final boss of the Sub-Game Team Kirby Clash. He is described as a guardian angel, and has two distinct forms. The first fights more-or-less like Landia in Return to Dream Land. The second is Landia EX like the same EX form in Return to Dream Land. Once Landia is defeated in his EX form, the Sub-Game is complete.

Landia

The brave Guardian Angel suddenly attacked the kingdom! Calm the dragon!
— Landia's flavor text from Team Kirby Clash Deluxe

Landia reprises his role in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe and Super Kirby Clash--his attacks and role in the story undiminished from before. He has been made much tougher in all his iterations, in order to provide more of a challenge for Team Kirby.

Landia EX

The Guardian Angel brings his true power to the last, decisive ordeal!”
— Landia EX's flavor text from Team Kirby Clash Deluxe

In Team Kirby Clash Deluxe, Landia EX serves as the fifth Ordeal, and defeating him completes the main game, queuing the credits. In Super Kirby Clash, Landia EX is not an ordeal, but is still as tough as he had been.

Parallel Landia

Main article: Parallel Landia

Unlike the original Sub-Game, however, Landia EX is not the ultimate final boss. Bosses from the parallel universe invade the Dream Kingdom after the credits, one of them being Parallel Landia, a black counterpart to Landia who is much more powerful and wears a black Master Crown.
