Lvl 1-4 is the last stage of Level 1 in Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble. The boss Orbservor is faced at the end of it, after which Level 2 is unlocked.

Overview

The stage begins in a narrow enclosed hallway. Blockbots patrol this hall, and may prove a nuisance. In the room ahead, Kirby needs to hit four switches to make the yellow Blockbots move out of the way and allow Kirby to continue. A larger room awaits, where a few items and stationary Blockbots can be found. Bumping into the bot in the upper-right will reveal a Key which is necessary to unlock the gate up top and move forward. There is also a cache of items in this area - accessible from the lower-left corner of the room - and a Microphone in the middle of the room. After passing through a few more rooms with Blockbots and stars in them, Kirby can ride a Cloud over an abyss to reach the gate.

The next area features a series of short walls and square Jump Holes. Kirby will need to aim correctly when he jumps, or he may end up falling out into the spike pits. After passing these areas, Kirby can use another Cloud to move over one more spiky gap to reach a Warp Star that will take him to the boss.

Extra Game

In the Extra Game, more bumpers are placed on the course, the key is now in the lower left of the room it is found in, and Gordos appear in the boss room. The boss room itself is also smaller, making it easier to fall off.

Boss: Orbservor

Main article: Orbservor

When Kirby lands in the boss area, he is first given a Treasure Chest which contains a food roulette which he can use to recover before the showdown. The fight begins when Kirby rolls up to the Orbservor, which emerges from its stony slumber and starts to move toward Kirby. Kirby can attack Orbservor by jumping into its eye to damage it, but if he tries to jump without using a Jump Hole, the Orbservor will simply mimic his action, making him unable to hit. After each successful hit, Orbservor will be temporarily invulnerable as it tries to pursue Kirby and knock him into the Blast Boards and spike pits. Three strikes to Orbservor's eye will make short work of this boss, allowing Kirby to move on to the next level.

Star guide

  • Red Star: In the first open room, Kirby needs to bump into the Blockbot in the lower-right corner to make the bot move and the star appear in the niche behind the bot. Once the bot is out of the way, Kirby can collect the star.
