(Some parts of this treated K'sTR as being "similar" to Havoc Aboard the Halberd and Crystal Area, instead of being incorporated in them, and also some parts said that K'sTR was first incorporated into Green Greens in Melee, so fixing those. Plus adding various instances of the motif, some. Also, doing this edit hurted. Physically even.)

"Kirby's Triumphant Return"[Japanese title] is the name of a short musical piece that plays during the ending cutscene of Milky Way Wishes from Kirby Super Star. It is often paired with the "Green Greens" theme, especially in most remixes and rearrangements of the latter.

Game appearances

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra

The Green Greens arrangement that plays in the Crystal and Garden areas of The Great Cave Offensive, titled 水晶の畑エリア (Crystal Area) on the Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track, includes the "Kirby's Triumphant Return" motif at the end of it.

The "Kirby's Triumphant Return" motif is included in "Havoc Aboard the Halberd", which plays in the latter stages of Revenge of Meta Knight, in the planet Halfmoon in The Great Cave Offensive, and in the final of Revenge of the King in Kirby Super Star Ultra, The Revenge.

As Marx is thrown into Galactic Nova after his defeat in Milky Way Wishes in the cutscene "Kirby's Triumphant Return", the clockwork star explodes with him, and the "Kirby's Triumphant Return" theme plays to emphasize Kirby's victory against the tricky jester. Notably, this appearance features a short excerpt of the Green Greens theme, which plays as Kirby flies back home on the Warp Star. This theme also plays in the Kirby Super Star Ultra-exclusive sub-game, Meta Knightmare Ultra, in the cutscene that plays after Meta Knight successfully defeats Galacta Knight, named "Knight's Triumphant Return".

Super Smash Bros. series

Super Smash Bros. Melee

In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the track "Green Greens" incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" into an orchestral remix of the "Green Greens" theme. "Kirby's Triumphant Return" is played in the second section of the song, before looping back to the main melody. This is the second time that "Kirby's Triumphant Return" has been incorporated into the "Green Greens" theme after "Crystal Area" in Kirby Super Star, and would be a standard for some rearrangements and remixes of the latter in the Kirby series.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

In addition to the returning "Green Greens" track from Melee, a remix of "Vs. Marx" features "Kirby's Triumphant Return" near the end of the song before looping.

The theme is also present in the "Meta Knight's Revenge" remix, due to it incorporating "Havoc Aboard the Halberd".

Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U

The Wii U version features the return of the previous three remixes which include "Kirby's Triumphant Return": "Green Greens (Melee)", "Vs. Marx", and "Meta Knight's Revenge".

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

"Green Greens (Melee)", "Vs. Marx", and "Meta Knight's Revenge", also return to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with all three songs once again incorporating "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

Kirby Air Ride

In Kirby Air Ride, a remix of Green Greens which is notably similar to its arrangement from Super Smash Bros. Melee can be unlocked as the alternate track for the Checker Knights course. This remix incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" as per usual.

Kirby's Epic Yarn / Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn

In Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn, "Kirby's Triumphant Return" is once again incorporated into the "Green Greens" rearrangement used in Whispy's Forest, as per with its rearrangements from Kirby Super Star, Kirby Air Ride and Super Smash Bros. Melee.

In Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn the stage theme for Slash & Bead is an arrangement of "Havoc Aboard the Halberd" paired with "Boarding the Halberd". In the "Havoc Aboard the Halberd" section, "Kirby's Triumphant Return" plays in the background.

Kirby Mass Attack

"Down to One" from Kirby Mass Attack plays after the Kirbys defeat Necrodeus and restore themselves to one singular Kirby. This song starts with "Kirby's Triumphant Return" before quickly switching to "Green Greens". "Big Gold Star" also plays the theme when beating Kirby Brawlball.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe

In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, the theme "A Dream of Clouds" that plays in various stages on Nutty Noon features "Kirby's Triumphant Return" when the theme is ending.

It is also incorporated into the theme of the final level, "Fly! Kirby of the Stars", just at the very end of the song before looping again.

"CROWNED", the theme of Magolor (Phase 2) or Magolor Soul, features "Kirby's Triumphant Return" right after the "Green Greens" section. It is notably played in its original key like in its Kirby Super Star incarnation.

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition

The Kirby's Epic Yarn arrangement of "Green Greens", which also features "Kirby's Triumphant Return", has a chance of playing in the HAL Room of the Normal Challenge stage in Last Land.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

The "Green Greens" remix used on the world map for Kirby: Triple Deluxe incorporates "Kirby's Triumphant Return" near the end. Additionally, "Fly! Kirby of the Stars" returns in Kirby Fighters for the Another Dimension Battle Stage, once again incorporating the said motif.

Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe

"C-R-O-W-N-E-D" and "C-R-O-W-N-E-D: Reprise" are fast-paced remixes of the eponymous theme from Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and they once again incorporate the "Kirby's Triumphant Return" melody in it.

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

"Deploy the Kirby Tank!", the theme that plays in the stage of the same name, is an arrangement of "Crystal Area", and features "Kirby's Triumphant Return" as the original did.

Kirby: Planet Robobot

In Kirby: Planet Robobot, the Kirby Air Ride rearrangement of "Green Greens" and "C-R-O-W-N-E-D: Reprise" from Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe appear in Access Ark - Stage 8 EX, both of which happen to incorporate the melody of "Kirby's Triumphant Return" into them.

The theme that plays when battling against the first phase of Star Dream, "VS. Star Dream", features "Havoc Aboard the Halberd" at the end of it, and thus also features "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

Kirby Battle Royale

The theme of Dededestroyer Z, known in the Music Collection as "Cake Royale 13", features segments of Masked Dedede's Theme, "Kirby Battle Royale Main Theme", "Kirby's Triumphant Return" and "King Dedede's Theme".

Kirby Star Allies

The Kirby Air Ride rearrangement of Green Greens, which includes "Kirby's Triumphant Return", has a chance to play on the menu screen in a 100% completed save file.

When fighting Morpho Knight as Magolor, a medley of tracks associated with Kirby's Return to Dream Land plays during the battle. Among them is CROWNED, which features the "Kirby's Triumphant Return" section near the end of the track before looping to the Dangerous Dinner section. The title of this medley on the Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack is 覇王戴冠 ~OVERLORD~ (Supreme Ruler's Coronation ~OVERLORD~).

When fighting Morpho Knight as Susie, a medley of the final boss themes from Kirby: Planet Robobot play instead. Included in them is "VS. Star Dream", which naturally includes "Havoc Aboad the Halberd" and in turn "Kirby's Triumphant Return". This theme is called 幼き日に視たデウス・エクス・マキナ (The Deus Ex Machina the Child Saw) on Kirby Star Allies: The Original Soundtrack.

Super Kirby Clash

"Fly! Kirby of the Stars" is remixed and reused for the boss battle against Parallel Susie. Once again, the "Kirby's Triumphant Return" leitmotif is used.

A remix of "The Deus Ex Machina the Child Saw" plays in Super+ Party Quest battle against Pres. Parallel Susie, which as the original included "Havoc Aboad the Halberd" through "VS. Star Dream" and through it "Kirby's Triumphant Return".

Kirby Fighters 2

The beginning portion is used in the music track that plays in the prologue leading into the Final Chapter of Story Mode: The Destined Rivals. The rest of the track changes to an arrangement of "Revenge of Meta Knight (Map)" and a small portion of King Dedede's Theme.

Kirby's Triumphant Return can also be heard near the end of the second Item Room song, which is an intense remix of "Green Greens". Here, the melody is slowed down, and is also coupled with repeated parts of the "Green Greens" theme.

Finally, in the credits that plays after beating Chapter 4 of Story Mode, a remix of My Friend and the Sunset plays, and it incorporates the leitmotif at its end.

Kirby's Dream Buffet

An arrangement of "Havoc Aboard the Halberd" once again paired with "Boarding the Halberd" appears in this game under the title of "Revenge of Steel Wings". "Kirby's Triumphant Return" is featured in the "Havoc Aboard the Halberd" section as usual.

Other appearances

This track is known as カービィ凱旋~スタッフロール (Kirby's Triumphant Return ~ Staff Roll), Track 33 in the Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe Original Sound Track, where it is also paired with "Milky Way Wishes: Staff Credits". The English name is also given via the Theater movie of the same name.

In the Kirby 25th Anniversary Orchestra Concert, the track "Kirby Super Star Medley" featured "Crystal Area" with its "Kirby's Triumphant Return" segment, and then featured "Kirby's Triumphant Return" proper at the end of it, including its "Green Greens" section. "CROWNED" is featured in the "Kirby's Return to Dream Land Medley" track, and thus with it "Kirby's Triumphant Return".
