“ | My eardrum is killing me! | ” | — King Dedede is sick when Kirby sings his reprise of Kihon wa Maru. |
Kihon wa Maru is the ending theme of Hoshi no Kābī (Japanese version of Kirby: Right Back at Ya!). The lyrics of the song explain how to draw Kirby, in a manner similar to the intro from Kirby's Adventure. The song's title translates to "First you draw a circle."
The song is 4/4 time at 144 beats per minute in F Major.

Trivia
- In Abusement Park, Kirby attempts to sing this song (due to his being tone-deaf), but fails badly. A sad horn plays outside the fourth wall in the Japanese version to reflect his sub-optimal performance.
- This horn does not return in The Kirby Quiz. At the titular event, Mike Kirby is featured, singing the same melody, but the tune in the Japanese version is similar to that of the percussion from Super Mario Bros. 3's Underground Theme.
