Keke

Keke, originally spelled KeKe[1], is an enemy who first appeared in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and later appeared in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. They are a humanoid with shaggy white hair, black ears resembling those of a cat, a long, black or purple robe, and white or red shoes. They ride on a flying broom, in the same manner as a stereotypical witch.
Game appearances
Kirby's Dream Land 3
KeKe makes their first game appearance in Kirby's Dream Land 3. They give the Clean ability when they or their broom is inhaled. If inhaled normally, only KeKe's broom will be inhaled, but attacking or bumping into KeKe's broom causes it to explode, allowing KeKe themselves to be inhaled. Defeating KeKe causes them to roll away (like Ado and Adeleine do upon their defeat), but they can still damage Kirby if they collide with him.

Keke only appears in the background of a few stages in Kirby 64. Their role as a background character means they cannot be interacted with, but they also have their own Enemy Info Card, with the number 72.

Trivia
- Keke's name and design may be inspired by the titular protagonist of the Japanese animated film Kiki's Delivery Service, which is based on a novel by the same name. Apart from both characters having similar names and riding on a broom, Keke's robe resembles that worn by Kiki. Their cat-like ears, which resemble Kiki's hair ribbon, are also likely in reference to Kiki's familiar, a black cat named Jiji.
