Jam Jungle is the fourth level of Kirby: Squeak Squad, featuring heavy vegetation and ruins. It also features what may be a lost portion of the Halberd as a stage. Its boss is Yadogaine, controlled by Doc.

Jam Jungle-1

Kirby does battle with Box Boxer in an overgrown room in Stage 1.

Section 1: The stage begins in a thick jungle area, with the path leading to the right, past a Sir Kibble. Using his ability will allow Kirby to cut thick shrubs along the path. Along the way, a bridge can be found, patrolled underneath by Big Waddle Dees guarding a 1Up. If Kirby can hit the fire block above the 1Up, he may be able to access it. Further right, another Sir Kibble guards a green overgrown grotto, containing a Treasure Chest on an upper deck. It is blocked off by a door that closes too quickly for Kirby to enter through it. He'll have to think of another way to get the chest. From there, the door to the next section can be reached further right, past a bubble containing the Fighter ability.

Section 2: The door leads to a thicker jungle undergrowth, with the entrance guarded by a Waddle Doo. From there, a green room is reached where Box Boxer is waiting. Defeating and swallowing it yields Kirby the Fighter ability. From there, he can proceed directly to the door to the next section.

Section 3: The door leads to a vertical interior chamber, with the ceiling composed of staggered star blocks. A Starman appears to the right to offer the Hi-Jump ability. The path proceedss upward through several layers. The door to the next section can be found at the top, to the right.

Section 4: The door leads to an elevated jungle walkway. A Laser Ball appears immediately to harass Kirby, so he should do the natural thing and eat it. Kirby can then use its ability to more easily traverse the path ahead. The path splits into two at a certain point, with the walls naturally leading Kirby to the lower one. However, he can uncover a route to the upper path by doing a bit of ricochet work. From there, he can traverse the upper path and obtain another chest, after freeing it from a spiky confine. From there, it's a hop skip and jump to reach the door to the next section.

Section 5: The door leads to a vertical shaft leading downward, interspersed with thick green leafy platforms. It's a tight squeeze past Shotzos, Gordos, and a Heavy Knight to get to the bottom. The door to the next section can be found at the bottom, past one last ladder portion.

Section 6: The door leads to an open area, with floating platforms distributed about the place. There are many hedges here that can be burned or cut to reveal bubbles and other items. One in particular is hiding a large chest. Collecting it will call forth the Squeaks led this time by Doc. Kirby can easily escape them however, since the stage exit is located just to the right from his position.

Kirby climbs a ladder past a Gordo in a jungle hallway in Stage 2.

Section 1: The stage begins in an overgrown jungle walkway leading right. A Bun will attempt to intercept Kirby here, but it can be eaten, like so many other things. Kirby can then use its ability to clear out the enemies in the path ahead. There are also hedges which can be burned for fun and a pit to avoid falling into. The door to the next section can be found at the end of the path, behind a good deal of staggered star blocks.

Section 2: The door leads to an interior wooden walkway, which ramps upward and to the right. A Metalun is hiding behind more shrubs, waiting to roll down very slowly and ineffectually toward Kirby. At the top of the ramp, a bubble holding the Sword ability can be found, along with a ladder leading up to a path that now stretches to the left. After passing a few more enemies, another ladder can be reached, this one patrolled by a Gordo. After a great many more zig-zag paths, Kirby can reach the top, and enter the door to the next section, flanked by more shrubs.

Section 3: The door leads to an elevated log walkway, as Kirby must bust his way out of a small room using a fire block. A Biospark lies in wait here, hiding from plain view. From there, the path leads downward, though there is an upper balcony with view of a chest. Kirby will have to make use of multiple fire switches to get a hold of the chest, though doing so will also cause an ambush of Maiga. The path continues to the right from there, with the door to the next section reachable past another hedge.

Section 4: The door leads to an open area, where a large chest can be seen atop a wooden platform to the right. As Kirby enters, Spinni appears to try and nab the chest. As it turns out, the platform the chest is nestled on moves quickly back and forth, making it a little trickier to get. Should Spinni get the chest first, care should be taken where Kirby should confront her, as a wrong hit may send the chest flying into an abyss. After the chest is obtained, the stage exit can be found to the right.

Kirby observes the backwards spike trap receding in Stage 3.

Section 1: The stage begins in the jungle, outside a large stone structure. No obstacles are present on this screen, Kirby must simply travel to the right and enter the door to the next section.

Section 2: The door leads to the interior of a crumbling stone ruin, into a fairly small room with an even lower hallway leading off to the right. At the end of the hallway is a switch, which will temporarily open a doorway. Once Kirby has passed through, he will end up in a diagonal hall and will be chased by a large boulder. He will need to hop into a hole in the floor to avoid getting crushed as it breaks away a barrier in the hall. The boulder will then be followed by another as they roll down to the bottom of the hall, where a Snooter will get hit by both (but somehow remain intact). Out of the blue, a third boulder will arrive as well, so Kirby should not get careless. From there is a straight hallway with retractable spike traps. These don't actually activate unless Kirby steps to the right of them, meaning they only really prevent him from turning back. From there, a vertical shaft can be found. Entering it causes the shaft to flood with water, carrying Kirby through a winding channel. This leads directly to the next section.

Section 3: The water drops Kirby off at a pool inside the ruins, which opens up to a hall to the right. After breaking a bomb block barrier, the hall splits into two separate paths, with two distinct doors.

Section 4 (upper): The upper door leads to an open winding hall, as a Laser Ball makes its usual debut. Kirby will then have to traverse this hall, dealing with Scarfies and other nuisances in the way. Along the path, he can open up caches in the ceiling, one of which contains a Heavy Knight. From there, the path splits into two again. Taking the upper path leads to a chest, but attempting to approach it will drop it into the lower path, near the door to the next section.

Section 4 (lower): The lower door leads to a large blue room leading diagonally downward. This leads to a vertical shaft with a pool at the bottom, patrolled by a Heavy Knight. A single bomb block can take care of him, however. From there, Kirby will have to dodge Gordos during his ascent. One at the top guards a 1Up. The door to the next section can be found to the right from there.

Section 5: The door leads to one of two small chambers, depending on which path was taken. Kirby will appear to be trapped at first. Walking toward the door however will cause it to open automatically. From there, a ladder leads to two Cannons. Taking the left one will fire Kirby along a chain of cannons that results in him landing in a lower chamber with a door to the next section. Taking the right cannon will lead to the chamber above that one, which also contains a door.

Section 6 (upper): The door leads to a dark hallway. Kirby will need the Fire ability to see the way ahead more clearly. Thankfully a Hot Head is patrolling the area. From there, it's a march to the right past more fire-based enemies. Occasionally, barrels appear that can be busted open for goodies. The stage exit can be found at the right end of the path, past a couple more barrels.

Section 6 (lower): The door leads to a dark series of hallways. Kirby will need the Fire ability to see the way ahead more clearly. Thankfully a Hot Head is patrolling the area. From there, it is a labyrinth, with occasional enemies and barrels to decimate. At the end of the path, there is a barrel which holds another chest. The door to the next section can be found to the right from there.

Section 7: The door leads to a winding diagonal hallway patrolled by Wheelies. Ahead, Doc appears and nabs the large chest. Kirby will have to run him down to get it. From there, the path continues and splits into two. The lower one leads to the Squeaks' fortress, and the upper one leads to the stage exit.

Jam Jungle-4

File:JamJungle-4.jpg
Kirby electrifies the platforms to defeat his foes in the metallic wastes of Stage 4.

Section 1: The stage begins in a decidedly jarring shift of locale, landing Kirby in a run-down metallic zone. To the right, a Sparky lies trapped in the floor, waiting to provide the Spark ability. Using it will allow Kirby to transmit sparks across the metal floor to attack his enemies. The path continues to the right past a wall of star blocks. From there, it's a long run over varied metal terrain with some easily dispatchable enemies. The path ends in a split between an upper and lower door, though the lower one is also barred by a switch door in the floor. The lower door leads to a singular room with Heavy Knights and a 1Up. The upper door leads to the next section.

Section 2: The door leads to a double hallway leading to the right. The lower hallway is inaccessible at this time. The door to the next section lies at the right end of the path.

Section 3: The door leads to a room with a ladder leading downward through the floor. The Metal ability is available in a bubble. Below, the path splits into two separate diagonal shafts, which Kirby can roll down if he got the Metal Scroll. Doing so will take him to one of two doors at the bottom, one left and one right.

Section 4 (left): The left door leads to a wide room with barrels visible in a separate chamber above. The path leads to the left past a Hot Head. From there, Kirby can immediately go through another door, or he can activate a switch above to try and get at the barrels. This will land him in a fight with the Bubble ability-yielding mid-boss Bubloo (or Tedhaun). Defeating it allows Kirby to progress further to the left. This will allow him to access a cannon to fire him upward through metal blocks. There, he will contend with more enemies as the path leads right. At the end, the barrels can finally be accessed, but only contain minor items. However, there is another doorway above them. Entering it takes Kirby to a room where he can access a treasure chest, and also get a preview of the large chest he will grab later.

Section 4 (right): The right door leads to a blue cave, winding downward. The cave is riddled with enemies and spikes, and a Gold Waddle Dee can be spotted running down the path as well. Kirby will need to catch it if he wants its chest before it runs into a bottomless pit at the end of the path. Next to this pit is a ladder leading upward to reach the door to the next section, which is the same area as Section 4 (left).

Section 5: The door leads to a series of rooms stacked on top of each-other. Each one contains a different enemy and are linked by ladders going upward. In the uppermost room are three Waddle Doos situated atop a breakable platform. Kirby will need to pass them to get further up. At the top is a path splitting off to two separate doors once again. The rightmost one is blocked off by meltable metal blocks. Taking the upper door will lead Kirby back to Section 2, but will instead place him on the lower path. He will have to mind the sparks on the ground, but it won't be a problem if he got the Wheel bubble from earlier.

Section 5.2: Passing through the next door leads to a pit fight with Mr. Frosty in a room surrounded by sparks. The Beam ability is made available in a bubble above in case Kirby needs it. Defeating him opens the stage exit.

Section 6: The right door in Section 5 leads to the hall where the large chest is. Collecting it calls Storo onto the scene, who will pursue Kirby. The door to the next section however, can be found just to the right.

Section 7: The door leads to a room surrounded on all sides by sparks. Here, Kirby must do battle with Storo before he can progress. The Beam ability is made available in a bubble above in case Kirby needs it. Once Storo goes down for the count, the stage exit will appear in the middle of the room.

Kirby celebrates getting the chest at the bottom of the runway in Stage 5.

Section 1: The stage begins in a small underground ruin. A switch gate opens up to the left to yield a slightly larger room with three abilities stored away in bubbles. The door to the next section can be found past another switch gate.

Section 2: The door leads to a larger area of the ruins. Past a bomb block barrier, a chest can be seen. Breaking the bomb block however causes the chest to start to fall. Kirby will have to chase it down the path, avoiding blocks, spikes and other obstacles in the process to get it before it falls into a bottomless pit. The stage exit is then reachable from that point.

Jam Jungle-Boss: Yadogaine

Kirby keeps ahead of the rampaging Yadogaine.

The stage begins at the top of a ruin stairway. Down the path are bubbles containing the Tornado and Cutter abilities. The door to the boss chamber lies just below.

The chamber itself is an open plain in the ruins. Daroach appears, then orders Yadogaine after Kirby, which is again being piloted by Doc. Kirby will have to keep ahead of Yadogaine as it crawls toward him, and also dodge rubble along the way. Kirby can inhale this rubble and spit it back at the robot to defeat it. One it is destroyed, Kirby can collect the chest and proceed to the next level, Vocal Volcano.

Jam Jungle-EX

Section 1: The stage begins on a jungle pathway leading slightly downward and to the right. This drops off at the entrance to a ruin, which leads to the next section.

Section 2: The door leads to a wide blue ruin room. To the right is a tasty snack as well as, oddly enough, the stage exit. However, there is a path through the ceiling that Kirby can take instead. Doing that reveals a vertical shaft, at the bottom of which is a bubble with the Bomb ability inside. From there, a few enemies line the path that will need to be contended with. The door to the next section can be found at the top of the shaft, past some Snooters.

Section 3: The door leads to a small chamber, with a thin hallway leading diagonally down from it. This opens up to a room where Kirby will need to dodge some boulders that come down from the ceiling. From there, another hallway leads to a chamber where a Parasol Waddle Dee comes floating down. After that, it's more boulder dodging, followed by the ever-terrifying Noddy, guarding the door to the next section.

Section 4: The door leads to a series of stacked rooms, with the path leading downward. The Parasol ability is once again made available through a bubble, as Kirby can float down past more enemies and spikes. At the bottom is the door to the next section. However, there's also a treasure chest, which seems to be blocked off by a switch door with no button. In order to open it, Kirby will actually have had to trigger a floor above by landing on it.

Section 5: The door leads to a narrow hallway leading right. It branches off into two distinct paths, one blocked off by star blocks. The star-blocked path leads downward, past several enemies, to a spike barrier. If Kirby has an ability with some range, he can press a switch in the wall to lower the spikes, then get access to another chest. The door to the next section can then be found through a previously hidden path upward.

Section 6: The door leads to a wide hallway leading diagonally upward to the right. As expected, boulders start rolling down the hall. Kirby will have to float up to the ceiling to avoid them. The hallway winds up to the left past another boulder, then leads to a vertical shaft with an elevator platform. In the shaft are a number of ability-providing enemies, as well as some Crimps. From there, a boulder rolls in, and falls through the shaft, opening up the top room with the door to the next section in it.

Section 7: The door leads to a narrow hallway which snakes toward the left. A switch in the middle of the hall causes the large chest to appear. Collecting it causes the Squeaks to appear in the hall, led by Spinni. Along the path, an open room appears with one of the Squeaks' fortresses in it. The room is flanked by two switches. Pressing them causes boulders to fall from the ceiling, which can only hit Kirby (not fair!). The door to the next section can be found at the end of the next winding hall.

Section 8: The door leads back to the area from Section 2. However, the door to Section 3 will now be closed off, and the Squeaks will appear here as well if Kirby still has the large chest. All Kirby has to do to exit the stage is head back down toward where the stage exit was when he first saw it, avoiding the Squeakers' bombs along the way.
