A Heat Phanphan is an enemy that appears only in Kirby Air Ride. Here, Heat Phanphans appear on various courses. They have the ability to fly and they attack Kirby on sight. When inhaled, they give Kirby the Fire ability.
Heat Phanphan was planned to appear in Kirby GCN as an enemy and a Helper, but this game ended up being cancelled. It has not appeared in any games since then.
Heat Phanphans can bear some resemblance to Phan Phan, due to their name and their elephant-like appearance. However, it has not been confirmed that they are the same or a different species.
