This article is about the theme music for Haldera Volcano. For the Battle Stage, see Haldera Volcano.

Haldera Volcano is the name of a musical piece which first appeared in Kirby's Return to Dream Land in the first stage of Dangerous Dinner.

CompositionEdit

Water Kirby narrowly avoids becoming the Iron Barbar's dinner.

This theme is notable in its relatively short but fast-paced melody. It can either be counted as standard 4/4 or a faster 6/8. It features a largely traditional orchestral instrumentation, with percussion, strings, brass, and most notably a xylophone. The percussion forms a solid rolling baseline for the brass and strings to build a melody on top of, creating an air of urgency to the track that fits the fast-paced nature of the stages it features in.

Game appearancesEdit

Kirby's Return to Dream Land / Kirby's Return to Dream Land DeluxeEdit

"Haldera Volcano" first appeared in Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and also returns in the remake. It can be heard in the first two stages of Dangerous Dinner. It can be found as Track 65 (Track 116 in Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe) in the Sound Test.

An arranged version as part of Red Sands Remix plays during the stages in the Pyred Dimension of the Magolor Epilogue. This remix was arranged by Hirokazu Ando, and can be found as Track 174 in the Jukebox.

Kirby: Triple DeluxeEdit

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, the original version of "Haldera Volcano" is reused in Endless Explosions - Stage 7 EX.

Kirby Fighters Deluxe and Kirby Fighters 2Edit

The original version of the song is the default track of the Haldera Volcano battle stage in both games. In Kirby Fighters 2, a secret version of the song can be unlocked for that stage upon reaching Fighters Rank 89. This version heavily remixes the song with more techno-like instrumentation and synths.
