This article is about the level in Kirby's Dream Land 3. For the level in Kirby's Dream Land 2, see Grass Land (Kirby's Dream Land 2). For the level in Kirby's Epic Yarn, see Grass Land (Kirby's Epic Yarn).

Grass Land is the first level in Kirby's Dream Land 3. It consists of six stages, and a boss fight with Whispy Woods. Despite being called Grass Land, there are a bunch of areas here that are deep forest. This level is followed by Ripple Field.

Cut-scene

Rick and Kirby meet on a grassy field, with Kirby holding a Parasol. Rick and Kirby approach, Rick anticipating Kirby hopping on to play, but Kirby walks right past him and meets up with ChuChu instead. As they both go twirling away on the Parasol, Rick is left heartbroken.

Overview

Grass Land is - as its name implies - a generally verdant area with lots of open plains. Enemies here are relatively sparse and docile when compared to later levels, and Kirby has ample opportunity to try out his abilities and mix-and-match with different animal friends to see what they can do. Unlike the version of this level in Kirby's Dream Land 2, however, this Grass Land is much more varied in its locales and, in later stages, its topography. The first two stages start out predictably enough, but in stages 3 and 4, the terrain becomes notably more rugged, and stage 4 in particular has Kirby going spelunking through a not-insignificant cave system. Stages 5 and 6 by contrast take place inside deep woods, with terrain more similar to the Kirby's Dream Land 2 level Big Forest.

Appropriately, the characters who provide Heart Stars in this level have simple needs, and it should not be too difficult for Kirby to help them.

Stages

Each stage is unlocked in succession after clearing the previous one. Defeating Whispy Woods is necessary to move on to Ripple Field.
