This article is about the level in Kirby's Dream Land 2. For the level in Kirby's Dream Land 3, see Grass Land (Kirby's Dream Land 3). For the level in Kirby's Epic Yarn, see Grass Land (Kirby's Epic Yarn).

Grass Land is the first level of Kirby's Dream Land 2, and the first of the Rainbow Islands. Grass Land consists mainly of open plains with few elevation changes. When played on a Super Game Boy, Grass Land primarily uses a yellow palette. The level consists of three regular stages and a boss stage against Whispy Woods. This level is followed by Big Forest.

Cut-scene

Rick and Kirby are in a field. Kirby is holding a Parasol, which he shows to Rick, then they walk into each other. Rick balances the parasol on his nose and bounces Kirby, who is shaped as a ball.

Overview

Consisting of only three brief standard stages and a fourth for Whispy Woods, Grass Land is by far the shortest level in the game, and may also count as one of the shortest levels in the whole Kirby series. Each stage takes place out in open fields with very little in the way of platforms, voids, or other hazards to contend with. Enemies and Star Blocks litter each stage, though these do not pose much of a threat to Kirby, especially once he has teamed up with Rick the hamster.

In Stage 3, Kirby passes through a chamber which contains the first Rainbow Drop as part of the necessary path. It is difficult to pass by this room without seeing the drop inside, so the little puffball's curiosity will almost certainly be piqued.

Stages

Each stage is unlocked in succession after clearing the previous one. Defeating Whispy Woods is necessary to move on to Big Forest. For more information about a particular stage, click on the link to the stage's page in the table.
