Goriath is a yeti-like boss that debuted in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Most of his attack are direct melee attacks, such as punches and stomps, though he will also climb the walls and throw objects such as snowballs, or shoot beams from his hand (similar to Fighter Kirby). Goriath appears as the boss of White Wafers and guards the Lor Starcutter's Emblem.
Appearance
Goriath's body is somewhat pear-shaped, his face taking up most of its area. This makes his physique similar to a Waddle Dee, though his feet and arms are more defined. His fur covers his body, which is largely white in tone, though it has red accents near the hands. His skin is tan, and his face resembles that of an ape, with baboon-like red marks on his cheeks. He also sports a long beard and a similarly long tuft of hair on his head, which is gray in color.
When Goriath is knocked down to half health, he charges up and his beard and hair tuft turn golden. He also begins to glow and his eyes turn red.
In Extra Mode, Goriath's skin is black, his face marks are of several colors, ranging from blue to lavender, his hair tuft and beard have a blue tint at first, and his wrist hair is brown.
Attacks
Goriath has a unique feature to his boss fight, in that, as the fight progresses, he will pound the stage to make it crumble, causing everyone to fall to a lower stage with a different layout. This is done up to four times before the fight is over.
The following lists all of Goriath's attacks in the Main Game of Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Attacks in italics are used in the second phase of the fight only.
*Attack names are conjectural.

Attack | Description |
Wall Jump | |
Snowball Toss | |

In Extra Mode, Goriath's attacks are generally more punishing, and he sports a couple new ones as well:

When Goriath is defeated, he reverts to his look before the second phase, and gets knocked into the background, where he cartoonishly falls to his doom.
Trivia
- When Goriath's health drops below the half-way point, his hair turns golden and he begins to glow, and is able to fire beams from his hand. This could be a vague nod to the Dragonball anime series.
- The name 'Goriath' is a portmanteau of the words 'Gorilla' and 'Goliath'. Despite this, he really isn't that large, especially compared to Kirby's height of only eight inches.
- One of the alternate costumes for the Fighter ability in Kirby: Battle Royale is a hat that resembles Goriath.
Video Walkthrough
