Glom is an enemy with a frog-like head, a grub-like body, and only appears in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Due to it shrouding itself in a hole with only its blinking white eyes in view, it is usually never exposed to light. The hole as well as Glom is part of the background, and will only be in the same plane as Kirby when he is near its hole. As a result of Kirby wondering too closely, a Glom will expose its head and try to devour Kirby, only to spit him out, at which point damage it taken. The most exposed while attacking is its head and webbed hands, which makes players think it is even more frog-like. Regardless of any attack, they cannot be annihilated, as any attack will be absorbed and vanish.

Appearance

First appearing in Aqua Star's first stage inside a cave, Kirby must dodge all four of them to move on. As stated above, Gloms look like a frog, sporting a green face, a white chin, and a red inner-mouth. They have large white eyes, which blink when they hide in their holes. They use their two, green webbed hands with three fingers on each to grab onto the outer sides of their hole so prevent themselves from falling out while attacking Kirby. An unseen part of them is their grub-like body, which can only been seen in its official artwork. Glom also appears on an Enemy Info Card, with the number of twenty-two.
