Blob is a female counterpart to Gooey, appearing only in Kirby's Dream Land 2. She is a pink blob of Dark Matter, hence her name. She may randomly replace Gooey as the friend that Kirby can rescue from a Mid-Boss if he is already with the Animal Friend he would otherwise have obtained. Finding her counts towards 100% Completion of the game.
Blob has a 1 in 8 chance of appearing instead of Gooey when a bag is opened.
Trivia
- In the original Japanese version of Kirby's Dream Land 2, Blob's role is filled by Chao, a human girl wearing a kimono making a cameo from the Japan-only Famicom Disk System game Yūyūki. This character would later appear as one of the Heart Star friends in Kirby's Dream Land 3, where she is seen in the English release as well.
