The '''Girl blob'''<ref>Name taken from [https://vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/kirby/images/7/72/Girl_Blob.png/revision/latest?cb=20170811223852&format=original&path-prefix=en Nintendo Power]</ref> is a female counterpart to [[Gooey]], appearing only in the western version of ''[[Kirby's Dream Land 2]]''. She is colored pink and wears a black ribbon to distinguish her from Gooey. There is a 1/8 chance that she will replace Gooey as the friend that [[Kirby]] can rescue from a [[Mid-Boss]] if he is already with the [[Animal Friend]] he would otherwise have obtained. Finding her counts towards [[100% completion]] of the game.

In the original Japanese version of ''Kirby's Dream Land 2'', the Girl blob's role is filled by [[Chao]], a human girl making a cameo from the Family Computer Disk System game ''[[wikipedia:Yūyūki|Yūyūki]]''. This character would later appear as one of the [[Heart Star]] friends in ''[[Kirby's Dream Land 3]]'', where she is seen in the western release as well.
