Ghost Gordo is a pale ghostly variant of Gordo that first appeared in Kirby: Triple Deluxe as a minor hazard, which has one large eye rather than two smaller ones. It is typically found in dark haunted regions. It has since made a more substantial appearance in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, where it gained a new set of behaviors.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]

Ghost Gordo from Kirby: Triple Deluxe

Ghost Gordo made its first appearance in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. Here, this enemy acts much like its normal cousin, but is completely invisible to the unaided eye. It can only be seen by looking into the Truth Mirror to find its reflection. Like Gordo, Ghost Gordo will either sit in place or move along a set path, and will hurt Kirby on contact. It is invulnerable to attack, and cannot be inhaled, so it is best spotted and avoided.

Locations[edit]

In Kirby: Triple Deluxe, Ghost Gordo only appears in Stage 3 and Stage 7 EX of Wild World.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land[edit]

Ghost Gordo returns in Kirby and the Forgotten Land, here visible without looking through mirrors. It can be found in dark areas where Kirby makes use of Light-Bulb Mouth, floating in fixed positions. Initially sleeping, when Light-Bulb Mouth Kirby uses his Illuminate ability within range, Ghost Gordo will wake and start pursuing him, similar to a Mumbies, but much faster. As soon as Kirby goes dark again, Ghost Gordo will stop chasing and try to look for him, apparently not being able to see him in the dark despite its huge eye. If Kirby remains dark for long enough, Ghost Gordo will return to its original position and go back to sleep. In this appearance, Ghost Gordo's spikes do not move, unlike a standard Gordo's.

Locations[edit]

In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Ghost Gordo can be found in the Invasion at the House of Horrors, Moonlight Canyon, and Forgo Park stages.
