Gatehouse Road is the first stage of Fortress of Shadows - Jambastion in Kirby Star Allies. This stage takes place in an eerie area across a tattered path, and ends with a fight against Pon & Con. Completing this stage unlocks Eastern Wall.
Overview[edit]
The stage begins on a tattered walkway, with many pitfalls. Kirby can find a few ability-providing guards along the way, such as NESP and Como.
The path continues past pillars, pieces of which can be shifted out of the way using Switches. A Wire can be electrified here to collect a cache of goodies.
The path then leads up several cliffs, the scaling of which is aided by rising platforms.
At the end of the road, Kirby and his allies will have to face off against the mammalian guardians of the gate — the duo Pon & Con. They fight by charging across elevated platforms, and Kirby can defeat them by inhaling their children in tow and spitting them back at the duo. Once defeated, Kirby can then make friends with Pon & Con, who will then open the gate for him and allow him to pass.
