The Game Boy is a portable handheld console released by Nintendo in 1989 and in Europe the following year, 1990. Five Kirby games are playable on it, with one of those games being the first game in the series.

• The Remote Controller of the Remocoroid from Kirby: Planet Robobot resembles a Game Boy.
• In the Extra Planet δ stage of Kirby Star Allies, the formation of platforms that appears just before the monochrome area is meant to resemble a Game Boy.
• The Dream Land GB stage in the Super Smash Bros. series is based on both the Game Boy and Kirby's Dream Land.
