Gamble Galaxy is the eighth and final level of Kirby: Squeak Squad, featuring an outer space environment, as well as a stage on the Halberd. It has one Ability Scroll and two bosses, those being Dark Daroach and Dark Nebula. It is the only level in the game that doesn't have an extra stage.

Stages

Kirby gets soap in Waddle Doo's eye in Stage 1.

Section 1: The stage begins on board the Halberd, which inexplicably was repaired underwater. Kirby finds himself in a room with a switch to press that will let him out. From there, he will ride an elevator, and then take the airlock to reach the deck. Outside, a Bubble Head waits for him in front of the door to the next section.

Section 2: The door leads to another part of the deck, with a path leading to the right. Kirby will have to deal with some troublemakers along the way, including many Shotzos which get conveyed in. After navigating through some sketchy terrain, Kirby can reach the door to the next section at the right end of the path.

Section 3: The door leads to another open area of the deck, with even more foes to contend with. From there, the path breaks up into smaller platforms hung over the abyss. The door to the next section can be reached at the far right, after a switch has been pressed to open the gate.

Section 4: The door leads to an interior area patrolled by Gordos. Kirby can hide in some of the barrels along the halls to avoid these spiked meanies. The door to the next section can be found down an elevator after the last set of Gordos.

Section 5: The door leads directly to a Cannon, which Kirby will have to use to fire into one of eight possible areas.

Each area is listed in clockwise order, starting from the top:

  • Room 1: This room is dark, but has a Treasure Chest in the middle. Kirby will want to illuminate the room to see how to get the chest. A candle can be found at the upper-left corner. The door back is where Kirby started.
  • Room 2: Kirby will have to fight Mr. Frosty (or Tedhaun) in this room, while two Gordos whiz about above their heads. After defeating Mr. Frosty, Kirby can use his Ice ability to cool down some flaming pillars above and obtain a barrel containing a Kirby icon. The door back is just to the left from there.
  • Room 3: This room contains a Sword Knight and several ropes. Cutting each rope will cause something to happen. The door back is where Kirby started.
  • Room 4: This room consists of a long fall through several gates that open automatically and a wind current that prevents Kirby from floating back up. From there, the hall opens up to the outside of the ship again, where Kirby must progress to the right, past a couple more enemies. From there, a Warp Star waits just off the edge for Kirby to grab onto and ride. It takes him to a thin platform out in space, where he can grab a bubble holding an Energy Drink. From there, the door to the next section is just to the right, on another platform.
  • Room 5: This room contains a 1Up situated atop a large bomb block platform. Collecting the 1Up causes four Heavy Knights to appear on each side of Kirby. This is not a problem though, since all Kirby has to do to dispatch them is activate the bomb block and send them falling into the void. The door back is where Kirby started.
  • Room 6: This room features burning pillars and a bubble containing the Wheel ability. From there, Kirby will ride through a long passage, and if he is quick enough, can recover a chest along the way. From there, he reaches the ship exterior and pilots past several Laser Balls and a crumbling walkway, ending at a Warp Star which will take Kirby flying. It takes him to a thin platform out in space, where he can grab a bubble holding an Energy Drink. From there, the door to the next section is just to the right, on another platform.
  • Room 7: This room contains three Copy Abilities in bubbles, as well as a barrel below with a Kirby icon inside. The door back is where Kirby started.
  • Room 8: This area consists of a long hallway to the left, with a Flamer and Maiga inside. Kirby will need to find away across a thin hall with sparks on the floor and ceiling to reach a barrel containing Invincibility Candy. The door back is on the left end of the hall.

Section 6: The door leads to an asteroid field, where the large chest is stolen by Spinni. Kirby will have to chase after her to get it, all the while avoiding falling into pits and enemies along the way. The stage exit can then be found at the right end of the field.

Gamble Galaxy-2

It's water. In space!

Section 1: The stage begins on a series of platforms situated in outer space over the planet Pop Star. The path continues to the right, past a number of enemies. Above Kirby's head, a barrel can be found containing the Magic ability. Further right, the path moves upward, then further right past a floating body of water with Blippers in it. The door to the next section can be reached to the right from there.

Section 2: The door leads to a decidedly less safe walkway, guarded by a Sir Kibble. The path continues to the right along star block platforms, as Kirby will have to dodge many Gordos. The door to the next section can be found at the right end, guarded by another Sir Kibble.

Section 3: The door leads to another walkway, with star block platforms above it. Kirby will have to ascend up these platforms, past many more enemies. Near the top, a larger star block obscures an optional doorway which leads to a side-passage containing a chest. On the main path, the door to the next section can be found at the top-right.

Section 4: The door leads to a series of floating water areas, some of which have Blippers in them. Using the Ninja ability will allow Kirby to walk on top of these water sections. This eventually leads to a much larger water area, which Kirby must navigate through. The door to the next section can be found at the far right.

Section 5: The door leads to an out-of-water walkway, where Kirby must chase down a Gold Waddle Dee past several Maiga before it walks off an edge. After Kirby obtains the treasure, the door to the next section can be found to the right, past the pit.

Section 6: The door leads to a tunnel made entirely out of star blocks. The large chest can be seen a short way down this tunnel, but picking it up causes the Squeaks to appear, this time led by Storo. Storo is not phased by star blocks, and will bust through them to get after Kirby. However, these same star blocks are his downfall, as they provide plenty of ammunition for the pink puffball. The stage exit can be found to the right, encased in yet more star blocks.

Gamble Galaxy-3

File:GambleGalaxy-3.jpg
Kirby warms up a platform with his persuasive exhalations in Stage 3.

Section 1: The stage begins atop a large asteroid, as a Bun immediately stomps in to try and harass Kirby. The path continues to the right once that's been taken care of, past several disjointed platforms and enemies that attempt an ambush. At the right end of the path, Kirby can throw an object to break the metal blocks guarding a Maxim Tomato bubble, then proceed through the door to the next section.

Section 2: The door leads to an underground section that proceeds to the right past a Sword Knight and a Waddle Doo. The path then proceeds upward and to the left, then upward again and to the right, past more enemies. At the top, Kirby will have to contend with Gao Gao, and defeat it for the Animal ability. The door to the next section will also appear at this point.

Section 3: Naturally, having just defeated Gao Gao, the next area is absolutely full of dirt to dig. Kirby will have to dig through several tunnels, past a few annoying enemies, in order to snag the first chest at the end of a tunnel along the bottom. If Kirby didn't get the Animal ability, he'll just have to climb the ladder past all the fun. There's a Gaw Gaw up at the top though, so not all is lost! The door to the next section can be found up there as well.

Section 4: The door leads to a series of small platforms which have all been iced over. A Hot Head waits nearby, which can help thaw the situation. The path continues to the right past a few more enemies. Along the way, some lower platforms can be found, one of which has a 1Up nestled inside, between two metal blocks. Kirby can bust through these if he gets hot enough. The door to the next section lies on the rightmost platform.

Section 5: The door leads to a series of asteroids, which serve as stepping stones for Kirby to jump onto another Warp Star, which will taking him flying once more. After cruising past several crystal formations, it lands Kirby in a green area atop a thin walkway. A U.F.O. awaits him at the end of this path. From there, Kirby can hover further right into deep space, dealing with more U.F.O.s, Starmen and other foes along the way. Using Kirby's most powerful laser will also allow him to break through a blockade of metal blocks, and access a side-chamber where another treasure chest can be obtained. The door to the next section can be found not far right form there, past a flock of Laser Balls.

Section 6: The door leads to an arena, where the large chest falls directly onto Kirby if he holds still. From there, Doc and numerous U.F.O. opponents will hound Kirby for it. After the epic U.F.O. battle has concluded, the stage exit can be reached just to the right.

Gamble Galaxy-Boss: Dark Daroach

File:GambleGalaxy-Boss.jpg
Daroach is looking a bit more evil today...

The stage begins along a thin outer space platform. Three bubbles are made available, containing the Cutter and Parasol abilities, as well as a random item. The door to the boss chamber is just beyond.

The chamber itself is a simple flat area. Daroach appears again, but this time he bears a different color scheme. His attacks are much like they were before, but with the exception of the Triple Star Cane, have all been made more powerful. Once Dark Daroach is defeated, he falls unconscious and reverts to his normal self, a dark star jumping out of him. It bounces around for a bit, then rushes off to the right. Kirby then obtains the Triple Star cane from Daroach and chases after it.

Final Boss: Dark Nebula

File:Dark Nebula Fight.jpg
Kirby does battle with the final opponent, Dark Nebula.

From there, Kirby must run to the right, chasing the dark star as it bounces along, dealing with pitfalls and enemies in the process. This continues through a Warp Star flight path, then up a vertical shaft, as Kirby must dodge boulders and collect some more bubbles in the process. Once Kirby gets on another Warp Star, it takes him to a crystal-laden arena, where the dark star expands itself to reveal its true form, Dark Nebula. Here, Kirby has to do battle with it, fighting it with the Triple Star's projectiles as it changes form and unleashes elemental attacks. After Dark Nebula takes enough hits, it dissipates, finally defeated, completing the level, and the game.

Trivia

  • In the background of Stages 2 and 3 of this level, Pop Star can be seen.
  • The last two treasures, obtained after defeating Dark Nebula, are the only ones that Kirby acquires without opening them from chests.
