Freeze and Find! Magma Skating (Blizzard Ice Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Redgar Forbidden Lands. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Blizzard Ice, skating over lava to find star pieces. The stage is unlocked upon completing Burning, Churning Power Plant. In order to access this challenge, Kirby needs to have acquired Blizzard Ice. It is marked by three stars of difficulty and has a stage time of two minutes (one minute and 30 seconds in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute.
Stage details
This stage consists largely of one big square area mostly made of lava with five treasure chests scattered about containing star pieces. Kirby will need to use his ability to skate on lava to traverse the obstacles and reach each chest in any order he prefers. Once all five are collected, the path to the Rare Stone will appear, though it is guarded by a few Phantas.
Tips
The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:
- A good way for Kirby to traverse this stage is to do a clockwise run from the starting chest. This will ensure minimal obstacles on the way to each star piece.
- For the treasure chest upper-leftmost part of of the stage, it is optimal to use an Icicle Storm to quickly destroy the pillar of burning logs.
