This article is about the white butterfly seen in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. For the red and orange butterflies that recur throughout the series, see Butterfly.

Flutter is an "enemy" which appears in Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. Flutter is nothing more than a small white butterfly. It can sometimes be found on the ground, and will flutter about if Kirby gets near. It cannot harm him, and he cannot harm it. Despite this, it is included as an Enemy Info Card in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards.

Flutter can be found in some stages, clinging to various floors until Kirby disturbs it. Unlike the black bugs which can be squished, Kirby cannot harm Flutter. Flutter is typically seen in front of doorways in the stages it appears in.

Flutter appears very rarely in stages, and is scarcely noticeable when it does. It usually flutters about in somewhat random fashion when Kirby approaches, and is easily confused as a decorative effect, which it may as well be.
