Emp is a type of enemy in Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards. It is first encountered in Stage 1 of Aqua Star, and yields the Ice ability when swallowed.
Emp resembles a penguin, and slides on its belly. When it spots Kirby, it will attempt to get away, but can only slide so far.
Given the animal that Emps are based on, it is likely that their name comes from a species of penguin known as Emperor Penguins.
