Elline is a magical paintbrush fairy who debuted in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. She is friends with Claycia, and they both preside over the clay-based world of Seventopia. She encounters Kirby when Claycia goes mad and tries to kidnap her using Grab Hands, and they both set out to return Claycia to normal.
Elline is responsible for painting the Rainbow Rope which Kirby uses to get about in Seventopia. She can also transform Kirby into one of three different forms - the Kirby Tank, Kirby Rocket and Kirby Submarine.
Physical appearance
Elline is essentially an anthropomorphized paintbrush with wings and disembodied hands. Her torso is colored magenta and she has peach skin. She can use her brush hair to paint things and, when necessary, can transform herself into a more ordinary-looking paintbrush.
According to her concept art, Elline was planned to have feet with red shoes.
Personality
Elline is very child-like, and only truly wants to paint things that Claycia sculpts. She keeps a Secret Diary which can be collected in pieces in the Goal Game of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. She considers Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee to be friends, having had to save them from petrification when all the colTemplate:Our was stolen from Dream Land. They in turn saved her by driving off the Grab Hands that were after her.
Cameo Appearances
Elline makes her Super Smash Bros. debut as a spirit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and is obtainable in World of Light. Her location is on a ribbon-like strip south of where Galeem, the Lord of Light, makes his lair before the player defeats him. She is an advanced-level support spirit who provides the host fighter with a Fairy Bottle at the start of battles, likely a reference to her spritely nature. In the Spirit Battle, she is portrayed by a tiny Palutena.
Trivia
- According to Shinya Kumazaki, Elline was considered as a Dream Friend for Kirby Star Allies, along with other characters such as Drawcia, Shadow Kirby and Galacta Knight, but ultimately wasn't chosen due to a rule that was established soon after, which excluded characters from spin-off games[1].

But we established a certain rule for our selection process. The rule was to select one character from each title in the main action games over the years, the so-called core Kirby games, the equivalent to numbered sequels." –Shinya Kumazaki (Kotaku interview)
