Egg Engines - Stage 4 (simply called Stage 4 or 6-4 in-game) is the fourth stage of Egg Engines in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and its remake—Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe. There are five Energy Spheres in this stage.

OverviewEdit

Kirby gets caught spiraling in the murky factory waterworks.

The stage begins as Kirby and his friends fall down a brickwork chute into what appears to be the factory pipeline. At the bottom is a water current that carries Kirby to the right, then downward past some Glunks and Gordos. The current continues in a spiral pattern until the air pocket containing the door to the next sections is reached, guarded by a Clayn.

Kirby then finds himself in a dark series of tight tunnels. Up ahead, a Candle can be found, which might help Kirby see the way forward. At the end, the door is guarded by another Clayn, but there is another hidden doorway a little further along.

The next area is a hallway split in two. The lower one is filled with running water. Which one Kirby ends up in depends on how he entered. Both paths lead past many enemies and hazards.

The next area is another hall with running water, though joined. Up ahead, Kirby will need to battle Kibble Blade before proceeding back into the water to move forward.

The door leads to an underwater maze. Kirby must navigate carefully as to not get pushed directly into the maw of a Barracu in a following chamber of the maze. At the end, Kirby can find a water channel which carries him forward.

The door leads to another underwater tunnel, whose current immediately takes Kirby into a room with a hungry Barbar in it. As Kirby progresses to the right, he must avoid more Barbar as he activates Bomb Blocks with his Water Gun. The last current carries Kirby through a great deal of Barbars before finally ending up in a room with the stage exit.

Energy Sphere guideEdit

  • In the dark area, Kirby can find a Hammer Copy Essence guarded by a Sodory. He can then use it to break some metal blocks in another portion of the maze to get the first sphere.
  • From the dark area, Kirby will need to find the second doorway past the first. From there, Kirby will need to make his way across the underwater channel in the next area to obtain the second sphere.
  • After defeating Kibble Blade, Kirby can use the Cutter ability to hit a switch past a waterfall to reveal the third sphere.
  • In the underwater maze, Kirby will need to take the lower path near the end to reach the fourth sphere in another room.
  • In the last underwater channel, Kirby can find a round-trip door guarded by a giant Barbar. Inside, Kirby will need to feel his way through the dark and hit the proper bomb blocks in the ceiling to find a key. The Spark ability and a Candle may come in handy to find it, then get the last sphere.
