Egg Engines - Stage 2 is the second stage of Egg Engines in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. There are four Energy Spheres in this stage.

Overview

The stage begins in a small room inside the factory. The door to the next section is immediately to the right.

The door leads to a hallway interspersed with chambers patrolled by Halcandle Dees inside large spiked boxes. Swallowing the Waddle Dee does not stop the box from moving about the chamber.

The next area is a curved hallway full of Elecs and Flamers blocked off by Star Block walls.

In the following area, Kirby will have to deal with the extra-durable Degouts while traversing halls with rotating spike bars.

From there, Kirby will need to make his way through a series of dangerous rooms with drills falling from the ceiling. Along the way, a number of enemies appear which provide different abilities, though each sharing a common element.

The next hall has Kirby moving past many pistons and fire blocks.

Up ahead, Kirby will need to bypass a Rocky and some firing Volttzos.

The following area has Kirby swimming through a long underwater tunnel passage patrolled by spinning saws. The door ahead is back out of the water.

Kirby will then need to pass through a switchback hall filled with Searches and a Walky.

The next area is a dangerous affair, filled with hazards, Scarfies and Degouts. A room-clearing ability could come in handy here.

In the following room, Kirby will have to do battle with Dubior before moving forward.

From there, Kirby can ride an elevator to reach the door on the other side.

In the last area, Kirby will need to hop along pistons crashing together and Hunter Degouts hunting him to reach the stage exit on the other side.

Energy Sphere Guide

  • In the room with the falling drills, Kirby will need to pick up an ability which can douse fire blocks. In the following area, Kirby can then find a piston pushing up to fire blocks in the ceiling, above which is this sphere.
  • Kirby will find himself in a room with a Rocky and some firing Volttzos. Kirby needs to obtain the Stone ability before proceeding. In the next area, Kirby needs to swim through the underwater channel, then use the Stone ability in an air pocket to break through some metal blocks and obtain the sphere.
  • After defeating Dubior, Kirby can use the Spark ability to hit a series of Bomb Blocks in the ceiling as the elevator takes him forward. The third block reveals this sphere on the other side.
  • In the last area, Kirby will need to hit a switch to make a Key appear. He will then need to escort this key through the room and unlock the gate at the end of the stage to get this sphere.
