This Cotta comes with a drill, which he uses to, you know, drill. He tried to drill for treasure once, but that clay was just too hard and broke his drill. Unfortunately, it did even more than that--it broke his heart.
— Figurine description of Drill Cotta from Kirby and the Rainbow Curse

Drill Cotta is an enemy which made his first appearance in Kirby and the Rainbow Curse. He stays in one place, and upon spotting Kirby, charges in the direction his drill is facing, then gets permanently stuck once he hits a solid obstacle. They can be easily defeated by Kirby's dash attack or Bandana Waddle Dee's spear, though his drill can hurt any player that attacks it directly.

An unnamed larger version attacks in the same way, and instead takes two hits to defeat.
