Kirby gained the mysterious Mouthful Mode ability after he flew through that vortex... Now he can stuff an entire dome into his mouth! Wrap around one of these, then twist until it pops open. Think there's anything good inside? Only one way to find out!
— Figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Dome Mouth is a Mouthful Mode that involves Kirby wrapping himself around a dome in order to peel it off its fixture, allowing him to open up certain caches to get at items or hidden Waddle Dee cages. Notably, rather than the object coming toward Kirby when he inhales, Kirby instead is sucked toward the dome in order to stick on top of it.

Once Kirby has peeled off the dome, he will be left stuck to it until he spits it back out. He can continue wiggling around, however, but will be unable to move from his spot. After Kirby has spat out the dome, it will disappear and Kirby cannot inhale it again.

This Mouthful Mode is the one used to finish the first phase against Fecto Elfilis, where Kirby has to unscrew an energy sphere holding Elfilin captive before a spear impales him. This is also done to conclude the first phase of the Chaos Elfilis battle as well, under similar circumstances.

Trivia

  • Although the game prompts the player to use the Y button (or A when using Type B controls) to spit Dome Mouth out after opening it, any of the four buttons can be used.
