Dig and Explore! Maze of Fences (Drill Treasure for short) is a stage in Treasure Road, found in Originull Wasteland. This stage tasks Kirby with completing a challenge revolving around the use of Drill, digging through a maze in order to find star pieces. The stage is unlocked after completing Searching the Oasis. It is marked by two stars of difficulty and has a stage time of two and a half minutes (two minutes in Wild Mode), with a target time of one minute.

Stage details

This stage consists of a labyrinth area quartered off by fences, only some of which Kirby can dig under using Drill. He needs to traverse the maze, avoiding enemies along the way, to collect all five star pieces in order to activate the warp pad in the middle. Each time he collects a star piece, a wall lowers, giving him quick access back into the other parts of the maze. Once the warp pad is reactivated, Kirby can use it to get to the Rare Stone on a separate platform.

Tips

The following are tips on how to attain the target time for this stage:

  • The target time for this stage is pretty tight, so Kirby may need to try this stage a couple of times in order to find out the best route. Generally speaking, it is best to focus on one side of the room before heading to the other side.
  • Kirby can only travel so far underground in one go, so he should take his paths wisely to avoid enemies and avoid unnecessary resurfacings.
