Ooh, how pretty...ouch! And sharp! Release the button while rolling to launch spiky crystals in front of you. You'll also roll longer and leave spikes in your wake!
— Figure description segment from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Crystal Needle is an Evolved Copy Ability based on Needle that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This ability gives Kirby a silver tiara with long pearlescent crystals embedded in it. Using Crystal Needle, Kirby can leave behind a trail of crystal spikes as he rolls along as well as being able to roll around for longer in general. When he retracts his crystals, he shoots one or more balls of crystals forward as projectiles.

The blueprint for Crystal Needle can be found in the stage The Wastes Where Life Began, located in a Treasure Chest atop the grounded ship in the first area. Crystal Needle is required to play the Treasure Road stage Rush and Roll! Falling Needle Road.

Crystal Needle moveset
Move Button execution Description
Needle Attack Hold B Kirby extends spikes all around his body. They take a second to fully extend, however. Releasing this move will shoot 1-3 crystal projectiles.
Needle Dash B in midair Kirby spins and dashes in the direction the L-Stick is tilted, which then transitions into Needle Ball. Releasing this move will shoot 1-3 crystal projectiles.
Needle Ball Move during Needle Attack or Needle Dash Kirby rolls around like a ball and is able to catch enemies and objects with his spikes. As Kirby rolls, he gradually slows down and the crystals shrink, however catching enemies and objects also briefly speeds him up. This will leave a trail of sharp crystals which can damage enemies. Releasing this move will shoot 1-3 crystal projectiles.
Needle Jump Jump while using Needle Ball Kirby jumps while in ball form, allowing him to clear small ledges or hit high-up enemies.
Roll Up and Throw Release B after Needle Ball Kirby tosses any enemies or objects stuck to his spikes ahead of him. This move will also shoot 1-3 crystal projectiles.
