"Corkboard"[conjectural title] is a theme in Kirby Super Star and its remake, Kirby Super Star Ultra.

Composition[edit]

The fully complete corkboard.

"Corkboard" happens to sound fairly similar to the Super Star theme from the Super Mario series. Aside from instrumentation and tempo of about 136 BPM, the biggest difference between the two is that "Corkboard" starts at a chord involving E, moves down, repeats those twice, then returns to E, moves up, returns to E again and then jumps up and down part of the way. The entire theme then loops again with a slightly different ending before the true loop is achieved.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

"Corkboard" plays on the mode select screen, which is a rather fitting corkboard - this is where the track gets its name, continuing the trend of early games giving music very literal names. It is track 2 in the Sound Test of both games.

In Kirby Super Star Ultra specifically, "Alternate Corkboard" may play instead after The True Arena is unlocked.
