Collector in the Sleepless Valley is the fifth and final main stage of Originull Wasteland in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. This stage is unlocked after completing Moonlight Canyon and requires Kirby to have saved at least 25 Waddle Dees in Originull Wasteland to enter. In this stage, Kirby does battle with Sillydillo, who had tried to lure him in with a handmade replica of Elfilin, and defeats it to rescue the trapped Waddle Dees there.

There are no Capsules to collect in this stage, but there are five missions to complete. There are a total of seven Waddle Dees to rescue here. The blueprint for Blizzard Ice can be found here.

Stage overviewEdit

The stage begins as Kirby heads down into a narrow tunnel in the dead of night. As he passes through, he sees an awful lot of junk piled up, consisting of things from previous areas, as well as a Maxim Tomato and Copy Essences for the Bomb, Hammer, and Needle abilities. He also sees lots of wanted posters of him on the walls, each of which can be knocked down. Once Kirby heads far enough into the cave, he finds a large room where he sees what looks to be Elfilin in a cage. He calls to him and approaches, but the cage swivels around to reveal that the Elfilin inside was just a puppet. Kirby is then approached from behind by the resident of the cave, the crafty and goofy Sillydillo.

Main article: Sillydillo

The battle with Sillydillo takes place in three distinct phases. In the first and shortest one, Kirby needs to avoid being caught by Sillydillo when it swings a cage at him, or else he will be trapped inside and rattled around for heavy damage. There are three puppets of Kirby hanging from the ceiling which Kirby can knock down or use as ammunition.

After taking a little bit of damage, Sillydillo rolls up into a ball and breaks the floor open, dropping the two into a larger battlefield in the sand. Here, Sillydillo has space to use its rapid charging attack, which it always performs three times in succession before it gets too dizzy. Once Sillydillo is down to about a third of its health, the third phase begins, and it brings out one of its "dancing partners". Using this, it performs a long spin across the arena, then tosses the partners at Kirby as projectiles, following it up with another set of charges. Once Sillydillo is defeated, it unceremoniously falls over and vanishes, leaving Kirby to collect the caged Waddle Dees and the blueprint for Blizzard Ice.

Differences between difficultiesEdit

There are no differences in the stage between Spring-Breeze Mode and Wild Mode.

MissionsEdit

Collector in the Sleepless Valley has five missions to complete, as follows:

  • "Clear the stage" - Kirby simply has to defeat Sillydillo and rescue the three caged Waddle Dees.
  • "Hit 3 of Sillydillo's handmade Kirbys" - During the first part of the battle, all three of the hanging handmade Kirbys from the ceiling need to be hit. It doesn't matter if Kirby or Sillydillo knocks the handmade Kirbys loose.
  • "Defeat Sillydillo with the Hammer ability" - Kirby must deal the finishing blow to Sillydillo using the Hammer ability or one of its variants.
  • "Clear within 2:00" - Kirby must defeat Sillydillo within two minutes.
  • "Clear without taking any damage" - Kirby must defeat Sillydillo without taking damage.
