These are hidden throughout each stage. Collect a certain number of them to advance through the security barrier to the boss stage. If you collect a lot of Code Cubes, you can even unlock special bonus stages.
— Kirby: Planet Robobot 3DS e-manual (European print), page 12

Code Cubes are collectible items in Kirby: Planet Robobot, which serve the same function as Energy Spheres in Kirby's Return to Dream Land and Sun Stones in Kirby: Triple Deluxe. They resemble dice blocks, but are dark blue and covered in circuitry patterns and lights.

Up to three may be found in each stage, and often, puzzles will need to be solved to obtain them. Like Sun Stones, they are required to unlock the Boss stages, as well as the EX stages. Once a Code Cube has been collected, subsequent visits will only yield a greyed-out hologram of the cube, which will yield ten stars when collected.

Code Cube Distribution

Each stage contains anywhere from 1 to 3 Code Cubes, with the exception of Boss stages. There are 100 in total. Collecting all of them awards Kirby with the President Haltmann sticker.

For information on where to find each Code Cube, look at the stage pages for each level in Planet Robobot.
