You can wield dual cutters?! Whoa! Sling both chakrams forward to slash a wide area in front of you. It's fun to watch 'em fly...as long as you're doing the throwing.
— Chakram Cutter's figure description from Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Chakram Cutter is an Evolved Copy Ability based on Cutter that appears in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It looks and behaves largely the same as Cutter, but with it, in addition to generally dealing more damage and throwing his blades in quicker succession, Kirby now wields a pair of chakrams that he can throw individually, or both simultaneously, which will curve back towards him. In terms of appearance, its hat most notably now allows for two blades to slide into it on the sides, and its eyes appear aggravated. Unlike most Evolved Copy Abilities, there is no Blueprint to be found for Chakram Cutter. Instead, once Waddle Dee's Weapons Shop is built in Waddle Dee Town, Weapons-Shop Waddle Dee allows Kirby to evolve into it right away, along with Volcano Fire, by giving him enough Rare Stones and Star Coins to do so if he pleases.

In Everbay Coast, Chakram Cutter is required to enter the Fling, Twirl, Return! Hit the Switches Treasure Road stage. It is marked by two stars of difficulty and has Kirby make use of his curving chakram blades to hit switches.

Moveset

The following is Chakram Cutter's moveset in Kirby and the Forgotten Land. All attack names are conjectural:

Chakram Cutter moveset
Move Button execution Description
Chakram Toss B Kirby tosses a chakram forwards. After a short distance, the blade accelerates outwards and then returns to Kirby; if Kirby does not catch it, it will travel an indefinite distance horizontally. Unlike in previous titles, this basic Chakram Boomerang can pierce through enemies, potentially hitting them more than once.
Double Chakram Toss B + B Kirby tosses two chakrams forwards. After a short distance, the blades accelerate outwards and then return to Kirby. These blades have the same properties as a normal Chakram Toss.
Hyper Chakram Hold B and release By holding B, Kirby freezes the tossed chakram in midair and charges it, and Kirby can move freely while charging. There are three levels of charge:
  • Lv 1: The Hyper Chakram turns yellow, and has the same power as the uncharged Chakram Toss when released.
  • Lv 2: The Hyper Chakram turns red and bigger, and has increased power when released.
  • Lv 3: The Hyper Chakram turns flashing colors and even bigger, and has further increased power when released.

After releasing B (or over a certain time period at Lv 3), the Hyper Chakram accelerates outwards and then returns to Kirby, and its power is increased as it travels further.

Double Hyper Chakrams B + B, then hold B and release By holding B, Kirby freezes the tossed Chakrams in midair and charges them, and Kirby can move freely while charging. There are three levels of charge:
  • Lv 1: The Hyper Chakrams turn yellow, and have the same power as the uncharged Chakram Toss when released.
  • Lv 2: The Hyper Chakrams turn red and bigger, and have increased power when released.
  • Lv 3: The Hyper Chakrams turn flashing colors and even bigger, and have further increased power when released.

After releasing B (or over a certain time period at Lv 3), the Hyper Chakrams accelerate backwards and return to Kirby, and their power is increased as they travel further.

Cleaving Chakram B near an enemy Kirby takes a blade and swipes it forwards.
Final Chakram B + B after Cleaving Chakram After a series of swipes, Kirby leaps upwards and drops downwards, dragging the nearby enemy alongside and shooting out two beams and a Double Chakram Toss on landing (which can be charged into a Hyper Chakram by holding B).
