"King Dedede has announced that he will sponsor the greatest sporting event in the history of Dream Land: the first ever Cappy Town Grand Prix Motor Race!"
The Kirby Derby - Part II

Tertiary character In this episode, Captain Waddle Doo takes orders from Dedede to try and sabotage Kirby during the race, at one point being ordered to spring some traps to make stone pillars rise in the way, and make a massive brick wall crumble into pieces. However, these do not end up succeeding in stopping Kirby. "Bad news, Sire! Kirby got past the brick trap, too!"

"Anybody who wants to hear how the book ends or who wants free magic lessons is welcome to come in. By order of the King, this castle is now a magic school!"

Pink-Collar Blues

Primary character Captain Waddle Doo takes a leading role in this episode. When he first appears, Escargoon asks him how many Waddle Dees are in the castle, but Captain Waddle Doo is unable to give him an exact number. Later on, when King Dedede orders the Domestic Servant Robot, Captain Waddle Doo approaches him to ask if the Waddle Dees can have a day off every year. Instead, he is told that he and the Waddle Dees are all fired. Thus, Captain Waddle Doo and all of the Waddle Dees are forced to leave the castle and travel en-masse to the beach.

When Kirby and his friends show up to find out more about the Waddle Dees, Captain Waddle Doo explains that, while he is not the same species, he does at least have some rapport with them and agrees to talk to the Waddle Dees. He later tells the group that the Waddle Dees are not interested in sharing info with them at this time. In the meantime, Captain Waddle Doo still exerts some authority over the Waddle Dees, and keeps them marching in formation to keep them occupied. When trouble inevitably occurs back at the castle due to the Domestic Servant Robot's underhanded actions, Captain Waddle Doo rallies the Waddle Dees and they all go back the castle to battle the robot, defeating it with Kirby's help. When Captain Waddle Doo shows King Dedede that he and the Waddle Dees safeguarded the King's treasure, Dedede agrees to take them all back in.

"I don't always see eye-to-eyes with these guys, but I'll see if I can find out anything for ya'!" This marks Captain Waddle Doo's first leading role in an episode.
Tourist Trap

Primary character In this episode, Captain Waddle Doo leads the group of alien tourists through their initial tour of Dream Land. Captain Waddle Doo is also the only one who can understand the tourists' language, so he acts as an interpreter for them and translates important information for the tourists. Waddle Doo is also present for the second tour, but takes a back seat to Tiff and Tuff. Later on, when Kirby is struggling against the monster Flame Feeder, Captain Waddle Doo instructs the tourists at Tiff's request to toss their ice to Kirby so he can gain the Ice ability and defeat the monster. "They want their vacation to be a big adventure!"

Later on, it is revealed that he and the Waddle Dees had coordinated on King Dedede's orders to sabotage the other teams and give Treasure Team an advantage in points. Despite this, Captain Waddle Doo delivers the punishment to King Dedede and Escargoon when the scheme is uncovered by launching them from a fireworks rocket. "Go Treasure Team! Go Treasure Team! Despite his involvement, he and the Waddle Dees with him are ultimately spared while King Dedede and Escargoon are punished by the mother whale. "There is no need to be concerned. Secondary character In this episode, Captain Waddle Doo helps coordinate the Waddle Dees when King Dedede decides to sell them all to the Cappies. When Tiff tries to intervene, insisting that the Waddle Dees should not be treated like commodities, Captain Waddle Doo tells her on behalf of the Waddle Dees that they do not mind this treatment, and appreciate her concern. Later on, when all the Waddle Dees are sold, Captain Waddle Doo quite his job at the castle, since there are no Waddle Dees left to command. Near the end of the episode, when King Dedede is being attacked by Dyna Blade, Captain Waddle Doo rallies the Waddle Dees and Kirby to come save him. "Dere[sic] ain't nobody to order around no more! I'm outta here! See ya, Sire!"

When King Dedede decides to have their meal plan changed to Chef Kawasaki's "thin-wiches", Captain Waddle Doo warns the King that this new starvation diet is making the Waddle Dees unhappy, but King Dedede brushes him aside. When the inadequate rationing continues, Captain Waddle Doo rallies the Waddle Dees and they proceed to throw an uprising to overthrow King Dedede and Escargoon, which is only stopped when King Dedede brings in the monster Fryclops to fix the situation. However, seeing the unhealthy food Fryclops produces concerns Captain Waddle Doo, especially when he sees how fat some of the Waddle Dees are getting. After Kirby defeats Fryclops, Captain Waddle Doo helps restore the status quo. "A bloated Waddle Dee ain't a pretty sight! Some of you slobs are almost King Dedede-sized!"
D'Preciation Day

Secondary character In this episode, Captain Waddle Doo is by King Dedede's side for a fair number of scenes. Most notably, he hoists the diss flag over Chef Kawasaki's restaurant at King Dedede's orders, and later on he delivers a present ordered by King Dedede to Kirby which turns out to be the monster Chuckie. After Kirby defeats this monster, Captain Waddle Doo delivers one more letter to King Dedede, who is hopeful that it is a gift for him, but it just turns out to be the bill from N.M.E. for the monster.
