"Bubbly Clouds" is a theme first heard in Kirby's Dream Land, and has ever since appeared in many other Kirby games. It was composed by Jun Ishikawa.

Composition[edit]

Floating through Bubbly Clouds.

Bubbly Clouds is a theme in 3/4 time in the key of C (the original version). The intro of this theme is only about seven seconds long, and it starts with the first portion if the song, which sounds rather calm. The second portion is calm as well, with a descending part as well. After this short portion, the song loops with a transition similar to the one at the very beginning of the theme.

Game appearances[edit]

Kirby's Dream Land[edit]

This theme first appears in Kirby's Dream Land, playing in the level of the same name.

Kirby's Pinball Land[edit]

In Kirby's Pinball Land, an arrangement of the theme with a shorter intro is used in Kracko Land.

Kirby Super Star / Kirby Super Star Ultra[edit]

In Kirby Super Star and its remake, slower paced arrangements of the theme play in the Bubbly Clouds portion of Spring Breeze, and in Crash Clouds in Revenge of the King.

Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble[edit]

The Kirby's Dream Land version is reused in various cloud stages of Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble's levels. The theme is also incorporated in the credits theme.

Kirby: Canvas Curse[edit]

A remix of the theme with an altered melodic structure called "Tiny Town" plays in the stage of the same name. It is found in the Sound Test as Music 04.

Kirby's Epic Yarn / Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn[edit]

A slow-paced and calm remix of the theme plays in Cloud Palace. This version's melody is notably very similar to the "Tiny Town" arrangement from Kirby: Canvas Curse.

Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition[edit]

The main menu theme of the game is an orchestral remix of Bubbly Clouds. This version is arranged by Hirokazu Ando.[1] Aditionally, when selecting Kirby's Pinball Land in the Kirby's History mode, its version of "Bubbly Clouds" plays.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe[edit]

The orchestral remix from Kirby's Dream Collection Special Edition is reused as The Arena's Copy Ability select theme.

Super Smash Bros. series[edit]

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, the original version from Kirby's Dream Land plays in the Bubbly Clouds section of the Dream Land GB stage.

In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the track is incorporated in the "Kirby Retro Medley".

Kirby and the Rainbow Curse[edit]

An airy remix of the theme can be unlocked by collecting one of the Treasure Chests found in the Deep-Divin' Kirby Submarine stage, to then be played in the game's Music Room.

Kirby: Planet Robobot[edit]

An arrangement of this theme plays after the Goal Game, when showing the collected Stickers. This version is called "Clouds Park" in the Kirby: Planet Robobot Original Soundtrack, and is arranged by Hirokazu Ando.[2]

Kirby's Blowout Blast[edit]

A simple arrangement of the theme plays in Level 4 of Kirby's Blowout Blast. The same arrangement plays over the staff credits when viewed from the Options menu.

Kirby's Dream Buffet[edit]

An arrangement of the theme plays in the lobby for online matches in the game's Online Mode.

Other appearances[edit]

A short remix of the theme was featured in Kirby Pupupu Train, and it is included on the Kirby Pupupu Train Eki-melo Collection under the title バブリークラウズ駅 (Bubbly Clouds Station).

A rearrangement of the theme can also be heard in video footage of the canceled Kirby Tilt 'n' Tumble 2.
