This article is about the boss battle theme from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, and should not be confused with other similarly named boss battle themes.

"Boss Battle Theme"[1] is a theme from Kirby & The Amazing Mirror that plays during most boss battles of the game.

Composition[edit]

The boss battle against King Golem.

"Boss Battle Theme" is an agitated theme in C minor and 4/4. It begins with a low and tense dominant-tonic bassline. The melody comes in in a series of descending arpeggios which soon gain many accidentals. Following the harmonic progressions established in the first few seconds, a transitional section alternating between a G and A-flat with short riffs with a rhythmical pattern reminiscent of "Deep Sea Area"'s melody that grow into a secondary motif that peaks at a high C with heavy vibrato. A more intense bassline mirroring the intro continues, and the secondary melody ends in a chromatically descending passage. The track then loops.

Game appearances[edit]

In Kirby & The Amazing Mirror, "Boss Battle Theme" plays during seven of the eight battles for the mirror shards (excepting the battle against Dark Meta Knight), as well as during all phases of Dark Mind's first form.
