Blade Knight is a recurring enemy in the Kirby series. It attacks Kirby by swinging its blade, and grants him the Sword Copy Ability when swallowed. It is the Helper for the Sword Ability in Kirby Super Star, and its remake, Super Star Ultra. It can also be summoned by Meta Knight, to aid him in battle during the Kirby Super Star Ultra stage, Meta Knightmare Ultra. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, there is a more powerful form of this enemy called the Super Blade Knight that yields the Ultra Sword super ability.

Anime

In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Blade Knight is an assistant to Meta Knight, and has the same basic job as Sword Knight. In the English dub, he speaks with an Australian accent. But in that dub and several others, Blade Knight doesn't speak as coherent as he does in the Japanese version, quite possibly because of his face mask. Yet, words that bear importance such as names are spelled out clearly.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U trophy description

"This enemy from Dream Land strikes out with his sword. There's an old saying that you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer - and there's nothing closer than inhaling an enemy! Once Kirby has copied the Sword ability, he can summon Blade Knight as a Helper!"

Trivia

  • In the English version of the anime, Blade Knight is voiced by a male. However, in the original Japanese, "his" voice is female.
