In ''[[Kirby: Right Back at Ya!]]'', Blade Knight is an assistant to Meta Knight, and has the same basic job as [[Sword Knight]]. In the English dub, he speaks with an Australian accent. But in that dub and several others, Blade Knight doesn't speak as coherent as he does in the Japanese version, sometimes to the point to where he can’t be understood at all by the viewer, but the characters in the show seem to understand him perfectly fine. This happens quite possibly because of his face mask. Yet, words that bear importance such as names are spelled out clearly.

Blade Knight is a swordsman of small stature wearing green armTemplate:Or, and a reoccurring enemy in the Kirby series. He attacks by swinging his blade, and grants Kirby the Sword Copy Ability when swallowed. He is the Helper for the Sword ability in Kirby Super Star, Kirby Super Star Ultra and Kirby Star Allies. In Meta Knightmare Ultra of Kirby Super Star Ultra, he (or Sword Knight) can also be summoned by Meta Knight as a Helper to aid him in battle. In Kirby's Return to Dream Land, there is a more powerful form of this enemy called Super Blade Knight that yields the Ultra Sword Super Ability.

Physical Appearance

Blade Knight usually wears a set of green armTemplate:Our with a red tassel on the helmet and two yellow trident symbols on the shoulder pads, though variants of other Template:Colours also exist. His body is often depicted blue or green, wearing a blue belt. Despite having shoulder pads, he does not have visible arms. In addition, he has no visible eyes on his magenta face unlike Sword Knight.

Prior to Kirby Super Star, Blade Knight has a slightly different look. The official artwork from Kirby's Adventure depicts Blade Knight with insect-like antennae and no tassel, and his sprites in Kirby's Adventure and Kirby's Pinball Land have two hairs on his head like Waddle Doo's.

Since Kirby's Return to Dream Land, enemy Blade Knights are left-handed, but they become right-handed like Sword Kirby when recruited as a Friend in Kirby Star Allies.

Both of them act mainly the same in this game, and both provide the Sword ability when inhaled. In the original NES game, it can also be difficult to tell the two apart.

Kirby Super Star/Kirby Super Star Ultra

File:BladeSSU.png Blade Knight appears in these games as the primary source of the Sword ability, acting much the same as in Kirby's Adventure. He can also be recruited as a Helper representing said ability, whereupon he will gain all of Sword Kirby's moves and gain an Infinity Jump, with a drawback being reduced maximum stamina compared to the pink puffball.

In Template:KSSU, Blade Knight also appears as a selectable character in Helper to Hero. Sword Knight appears exclusively in the remake as well, but has been differentiated from Blade Knight in a few ways, giving him a few tricks that Blade Knight cannot do.

Kirby Mass Attack

In Kirby Quest the sub-game from Kirby Mass Attack, Blade Knight and Sword Knight appear together with Meta Knight during certain battles, which references their roles in Kirby: Right Back at Ya!.

Kirby's Return to Dream Land & Kirby's Dream Collection

Blade Knight makes his 3-D debut in Kirby's Return to Dream Land. His main objective is to either hold position or walk slowly and swipe at Kirby if he gets close enough. He also has a super variant called Super Blade Knight and a similar-looking Mid-Boss called Gigant Edge.

Blade Knight also appears in Kirby's Dream Collection in the New Challenge Stages game, directly taken from his appearance and function in Return to Dream Land.

Kirby: Triple Deluxe & Kirby: Planet Robobot

Blade Knight returns in these two 3DS games, looking and acting much the same as he did in Return to Dream Land.

In Triple Deluxe, Blade Knight appears as randomly-obtained Keychain, depicting him as his sprite from Kirby Super Star.

Kirby Star Allies

"I will be a swordmaster like my idol!"
This green warrior swears upon his blade that he will master his weapon, learn how to attack with flame, wind, and lightning, and ultimately conquer the world!

Blade Knight appears in this title, and is the main representative of the Sword ability, being recruitable as a Friend who can fight with just as much prowess as Sword Kirby. When recruited, Blade Knight can also have his sword infused with elements such as Sizzle and Bluster. Like many helpers, Blade Knight has less health than Kirby.

Blade Knight has his own adventure in Guest Star Blade Knight Staying Sharp, and can be selected in The Ultimate Choice.

Once Kirby has copied the Sword ability, he can summon Blade Knight as a Helper!" "A knight enemy from Dream Land who often gets in Kirby's way. Anime

Main article: Blade Knight (anime)

In Kirby: Right Back at Ya!, Blade Knight is an assistant to Meta Knight, and has the same basic job as Sword Knight.

In the English version of the anime, Blade Knight is voiced by a male. However, in the original Japanese, "his" voice comes from a female voice actress.
