Bio Spark (also spelled Biospark) is an enemy in the Kirby series. In Kirby Squeak Squad when he first appears, Bio Spark often has a sheet in front of him, making him both hard to see and invincible. When Kirby gets within a certain distance of Bio Spark, he lifts the sheet and attacks, which makes him vulnerable to being swallowed for the Ninja Copy Ability. Not only does Bio Spark yield this ability, but he also is the Helper representing it. In Kirby: Squeak Squad, he can also be playable by possessing him with the Ghost ability.

Kirby Star Allies

“…I will walk the path of mastery.” Under cover of the night, hidden in villages, this elite ninja takes a journey to learn the ninja’s way. With his blade of violet lightning, he speeds through the land!

Bio Spark makes his first 3-D appearance in Kirby Star Allies, where he provides the Ninja ability as usual, as well as being recruitable as a Friend. Once recruited, Bio Spark can perform all of the same moves as Ninja Kirby, and can also have his blade augmented by various elements.

Appearance

23
Sprite of Bio Spark.

Bio Spark is, obviously, a ninja, who wears a cloak and has a ponytail. Although glimpses of his gloved hands and covered feet are shown, his only actual body parts seen are his glowing eyes. Bio Spark usually wears black or purple, but is also seen wearing green.

Attacks

Bio Spark can do many things usually attributed to a ninja, such as throw knives when Kirby is far away, slice with a blade when he gets too close, hide in the shadows, and grab Kirby, jump up, and fling him to the ground (in Kirby squeak squad, he does this by jumping on Kirby, in Kirby Super Star Ultra, only touching from the side). As a helper, in Helper to Hero, or when being possessed, he can also wall-jump.

Trivia

  • Bio Spark's sword is called "Purple Lightning" in his Japanese description for Kirby Star Allies. This can also be translated to mean "swordflash".
