Big Forest is the primary theme which plays in the corresponding level Big Forest in Kirby's Dream Land 2. It was composed by Hirokazu Ando and Tadashi Ikegami.

Composition

The Big Forest theme plays at roughly 180 beats per minute in a 4/4 time signature. It is generated within the game itself using a soundfont, rather than being a separate audio file. It begins with a short introductory statement which lasts about 4 seconds before proceeding into the main portion of the song, which lasts about 44 seconds before looping and is split into two equally-sized verses.

Kirby's Dream Land 2

So far, this music has only appeared in the Big Forest stage of Kirby's Dream Land 2. It plays during the introductory cut-scene for the level, leading into the first time Kirby visits the Level Hub, and also plays as the default music within the first three stages themselves. Due to Coo's presence within the level, much of it is played under Coo's Theme instead.
