Bell is a Copy Ability. It was first introduced in Kirby: Triple Deluxe, and has so far only appeared in that game and its Sub-Game upgrade spin-off, Kirby Fighters Deluxe, as well as its sequel, Kirby Fighters 2. The Bell ability gives Kirby a large bell hat with a large pink star on the front and blue ribbon tied to the handle, and two large handbells to use as weapons. This ability can only be obtained by swallowing the enemy Ringle. In Kirby Fighters Deluxe, Bell and Beetle are the two unlockable abilities via StreetPass with Triple Deluxe.

The Bell ability is primarily used to create large damaging sound waves, but the bells themselves can also be thrown to deal damage. The ability also gives Kirby a more powerful guard, in which he hides inside the bell. If enemies attack him while he is hiding, sound waves will be sent out. The Bell ability is one of the few which can be used underwater.

Bell's Moveset in Kirby: Triple Deluxe

B
Kirby shakes a bell on his hand to knock the enemy. Kirby walks a step every Ring-ding. 18→3 (2nd hit onward)
Ring-ding-dong
B repeatedly
Kirby repeatedly uses Ring-ding and shakes his bells hand by hand.
  • As every Ring-ding takes a step, Kirby slowly walks forward during Ring-ding-dong.
  • The tone from his bells becomes higher as he's repeatedly knocking the enemy.
  • The knockback of each hit also increases. Therefore, it's impossible to do an infinite Ring-ding-dong combo on an enemy.
18→3 (2nd hit onward)
Ding Finale
↓ + B during Ring-ding-dong
Kirby finishes the Ring-ding-dong combo with Ding Finale, a jump bell smash. Kirby is invincible during Ding Finale.
When both his bells smash the ground, it will create two shockwaves, each traveling to one side of the stage respectively.

Game appearances

Kirby: Triple Deluxe

The attacks from the new Bell copy ability look quite different from the other abilities. That’s because Kirby strikes enemies with the melody that flows out of the bells in each hand. By continuously attacking enemies with Ring-ding, the attack powers up to Ring-ding-dong, then to Ding Finale. To attack enemies who are farther away, throw the bells left and right simultaneously using Twin Tinker. The bell on Kirby’s head can also serve as protection by using Bell Block. To obtain the Bell ability, inhale a Ringle when you see it in the game!

Bell debuts in this game and is obtainable from the enemy Ringle. Bell is a fairly versatile ability, which allows Kirby to attack from a distance, use a more powerful Guard technique, and attack underwater with it. Kirby also appears to be enjoying himself while he bangs on the bells to create huge sound waves, as a smile can be seen on his face during some of the attacks. Despite this, Bell is one of the less versatile abilities in the game, as its use in puzzle-solving is limited.

Kirby Fighters Deluxe

Bell appears as a selectable copy ability in this game, but it cannot be used unless the player has save data for Kirby: Triple Deluxe on his/her Nintendo 3DS system. It functions the same as it did in the previous game.

Kirby Fighters 2

Bell returns as a playable ability in this game, with largely the same move-set as it had in its previous iterations (excepting the underwater moves, as there is no water in the game). It is unlocked upon reaching Fighters Rank 37, making it the final Copy Ability to unlock in the game.
