Barbar[Japanese title] is an invincible enemy first encountered in the Onion Ocean level in [[Kirby's Return to Dream Land|Template:KRDL KAW]].

Barbar resembles a giant eel-like creature and can come in various sizes, some of which are truly gigantic. They reside exclusively in the water, embedded in walls, ceilings, floors, or sometimes in pits in water currents, and at regular intervals will lunge outward in an attempt to swallow any passing swimmers.

Game appearances

Template:KRDL KAW

Barbar debuted in [[Kirby's Return to Dream Land|Template:KRDL KAW]]. If a character is caught inside of a Barbar's mouth, the player will need to shake the Wii Remote to escape. Regardless of how quickly the escape is made, however, being swallowed and spat out will usually result in losing whatever Copy Ability Kirby may have had.

A relative of the Barbar, the Iron Barbar, lives exclusively in stages 1 and 3 of Dangerous Dinner on Halcandra, and lies in wait in lava beds.
