The Bar Waddle Dees[from internal data] are a pair of hard hat-wearing Waddle Dees who carry a spiky metal bar back and forth. The Waddle Dees swing the bar along Kirby's path in a fixed pattern and area, while they themselves remain just out of reach on both sides of the path. Kirby will take damage if he touches the bar.
To defeat these Waddle Dees, Kirby must make use of the [[Robobot Armor|Robobot ArmTemplate:Or]]. Once so equipped, Kirby can use any Robobot attack or simply jump on the bar to defeat the Bar Waddle Dees. Meta Knight is also able to defeat the Bar Waddle Dees with any attack in Meta Knightmare Returns.

- While not appearing in any subsequent titles directly, the Bar Waddle Dees' behaviTemplate:Or is referenced in Guest Star Susie Extermination By Blaster ♥ in Kirby Star Allies by lines of Gordos that move back and forth along the ground in certain areas near the start of the game mode.
