In Cappy Town it is nice and sunny; Kawasaki comes outside to put up a sign with the specials on it, but he has no idea what the specials should be. He then notices that King Dedede's restaurant (called Restaurant Goan) has opened right next to his restaurant. He wonders where the restaurant came from. Inside Restaurant Goan, Waddle Doo and Waddle Dees are being yelled at by Escargoon who tells them that the restaurant gig is a very high class charm. In the kitchen, Goan is cooking up something and Escargoon tells them they are about to open. The mayor and his wife are the first customers and Escargoon greets them. The mayor's wife compliments on the decor. Escargoon then tells them to have a seat outside. As everyone is lining up to get inside, Chef Kawasaki is worried with Tiff, Tuff, and Kirby beside him. Tuff says that everyone wants to go to the other restaurant and Tiff replies that King Dedede is trying to ruin Kawasaki's business. Curio says that just because there's a line doesn't mean the foods good. The Mayor and his wife come out of the restaurant and the other Cappies asks how the food was. The mayor then says it was the best food he ever had and his wife says that on a scale of 1 to 10 she'd give the food a 100. Tuff asks how much it costed, to which the mayor replies them it was only $5.00. Shocked at this news everyone (excluding Tiff, Tuff, Kirby, and Kawasaki) rushes inside to try the food and soon a large line is formed. Kawasaki sadly goes inside his restaurant. Restaurant Goan's business is booming; Tiff, Tuff, their parents, and Kirby are eating there. Tiff's Mom compliments the restaurant and Tiff wonders if Kawasaki could wash dishes at Restaurant Goan. King Dedede and Escargoon are peaking through a little window and Escargoon exclaims that the restaurant is a hit. Dedede tells Goan its time for part two of their plan. Curio tastes some soup and says the flavor is fantastic, then Escargoon pops up and says that the flavor is so great because they put some essence of kumquat in the dish. Escargoon goes to the middle of the restaurant and tells his customers that it's time to show them the main entree then Goan comes out with a silver platter, revealing the dish underneath. The dish is  something that looks like 2 circles of meat he gives it to Tuff who complains about how small it is; Escargoon says it may be small but its very tasty so Tuff picks it up with a fork and chews on it and Kirby does the same. Tiff's Mom has already eaten her food and said it was delicious then Escargoon tells them to thank the chef for the great food while Tiff is chewing on her food she looks at Goan suspiciously.

Trivia

 • This episode was referenced in The Kirby Quiz. In the titular quiz's sixth question, the Nightmare Enterprises Salesman quizzes the characters on what Kirby successfully used in his attempt to defeat Monsieur Goan. The correct answer was Superspicy Curry, though everyone selected Fire Kirby (which Tuff identified the Curry-affected Kirby as in this episode (Meta Knight identified the effect as heartburn.)), therefore earning no points.
 • Monsieur Goan tends to say, "Oui, ça va?" (his signature catchphrase, which means "Yes, all right?") and his dialogue is unaltered in Japan. Because of this, King Dedede and Escargoon believe Monsieur Goan to be lying about his age, since "Ça va" dubiously sounds like the Japanese "Saba," which means young.
