Some Things[edit]

Don't have much time to explain, but... To use templates, you copy the template code displayed in the documentation and fill it in accordingly; you don't alter the core template to insert article-specific information, as that will make that information show up in every article. Secondly, please don't steal images from the Kirby Wikia. Doing this again will result in a block.--Vellidragon 14:55, 19 February 2012 (CST)

Some more things[edit]

Hello there :) Thank you for your contributions to the wiki. However, there is a few things I would like to point out:

  1. The name of the game is Kirby's Return to Dream Land, with Dream Land being two words. The links work due to a redirect if you use it as one work, but basically it is preferred to use the official title, that is with two words. (In addition italicise game titles!)
  2. I do not expect you to know this already, as this is a pretty unique feature of this wiki, but in this wiki, if a word has separate US English/British English forms, you should do this (though do not try this on other wikis unless otherwise specified, because this is a unique WiKirby thing):
    1. If the name consists of a difference of an o/ou or s/z like color/colour or realize/realise, then the appropriate template should be used around the parts of the words that are different across US/UK spellings, so "color"/"colour" should be typed in as color, and "realize"/"realise" should be typed in as reali{{z}}e.
    2. If the difference is something that does not involve an o/ou or a z/s, see if the word in question is here, and use the template name for that, so if you want to type in gray/grey, you can type in {{gray}}.
    3. If it is not there and cannot be resolved using an o or z template, then use {{UserLang|us=<US spelling here>|gb=<GB spelling here}}.

Hope this helps and happy editing! :) T.c.w7468 19:34, 21 February 2012 (CST)

And one more thing: When you're making a very small edit, e.g. changing/removing/adding only a few words or fixing spelling/grammar without doing a major rewrite, please check the box that says "This is a minor edit" (directly above "Save page") before you save the page. There's a function on the recent changes (usable by everyone) to filter out minor edits (so it's easier to see the more important changes), but it obviously only works as it should if editors properly mark their minor edits as minor. Thanks in advance :3 --Vellidragon 17:01, 24 February 2012 (CST)
Yet another thing: please use the Show Preview button to the left of the Save Page button before you save a page; this way you can resolve any issues with what you wrote before you save the page. This prevents the Recent Changes from being clogged with immediate revisions. Happy editing :) T.c.w7468 18:32, 16 May 2012 (CDT)
